Someone stole Pa Kent's puppies!

John "Bo Duke" Schneider's Puppies Stolen In SUV Theft

LOS ANGELES — A grinch has stolen a little bit more of John Schneider's Christmas than the law will allow: a couple of puppies.

Car thieves swiped Schneider's sport utility vehicle at a suburban Los Angeles mall last week, including the pups that were early Christmas gifts for his children.

The SUV has since been found _ but no dogs.

Schneider himself searched the neighborhood for the Yorkie and Yorkie-Poodle mix. He says he's certain whoever took the SUV is caring for the dogs, or even re-gifting them.

But the man who played a different kind of true modern-day Robin Hood _ Bo Duke _ believes the story, first reported by TMZ, will end with the equivalent of a freeze-frame smile.

"I think we're going to get my dogs back," he said.

'Heroes' Exclusive: Sylar's Dad is Lionel Luthor!

To restore the super to Heroes, the show is going -- but of course -- to Smallville!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the struggling NBC drama has tapped John Glover, a.k.a. Lex Luthor's dad, Lionel, to play Sylar's father.

"When Sylar meets his father, he's going to see a path ahead of him that he doesn't want to take," reveals a Heroes insider. "He has a lot more in common with his father than he realized."

The Tony award winner, who recently booked an arc on Brothers & Sisters as a love interest for Ron Rifkin's Saul, will turn up towards the end of Heroes' forthcoming "Fugitives" chapter.

Do you see the family resemblance?

Looks like Glover gonna make a career of this. Next up, John Glover plays Joker's even crazier father.

interesting...though I don't really like Heroes anymore

With Bryan Fuller coming back on, I think I might be willing to give it a chance again.

That is so lame....good that John G is working but geez, they'll probably just kill him then bring him back to life

Oooh, the big hotshot network show getting itty bitty Smallville's hand-me-downs..... :funny:

I haven't watched Heroes since the first season. It just lost me, and I'm not even sure why.

does Heroes do anything original? Not only do they steal right out of the pages of The Watchmen, X-men, New Mutants, etc. But now they cast as the father of their "conflicted" Big Baddie, the guy who is known the world over for playing the father of Lex Luthor?

Look I LOVE JG and think he's a terrific actor, so this isnt a knock on him taking another role like this. I'm guessing he did because of his connection with Greg Beeman perhaps? I wonder if they'll have him turn good and then try to help Peter Petrelli and protect him from his son? LOL

they've been doing that since Day 1. Beeman and Loeb as the two most prominent. and there are others who's names escape me right now. I'm amazed they havent come after Glen Winter yet.

you, me, and even the people who write it I think. That show had a ton of potential and then just died right on the vine during the first season finale.

Neither have I, Ms. Serene...

This turn of events is rather...amusing, isn't it? ...And I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Glover agrees...

Yep, from that finale on it went downhill, and with the huge ratings drop this season, all the changes are too little, too late, the damage has been done for the last season and a half.

I'm totally lost with that show. Is Sylar good or bad? Why do they keep going in the past and future but nothing ever progresses?! At least with Lost, they answered some of the questions viewers had. But Heroes keeps piling on more questions and never answers them! :cmad:

I sorta gave up on that show last season when they had spent all that time with Hiro in the past and then introduced the whiner twins from Mexico (or was Nicaraqua) and spent WAY too much time on them...

*yawn*

I might tune back in to see John, but maybe not... I'm bored with that show.

Nothing really ever happens.

People die, but not really, or they come back.

I sorta liked Sylar being a Petrelli, I thought it was stupid that he's really not...

Why do that, if they were going to undo it?

It's very amusing. :yay:
At the same time, I'm happy to see Mr. Glover continue to get work. Not only is he a fine actor, but he always seems like such a great guy.

What's amusing to me is Heroes being described as a "struggling drama" while articles about SV this year keep speculating about the show going nine seasons. Compound that with Heroes firing SV alumni - one of the best comic writers in the game - and then casting the actor who was arguably SV's greatest villain after Lex to play the father of the villain in their show...

I dunno. Definitely a head-scratcher.

So, I just noticed that there are 2008 Hype awards happening. I rarely if ever venture out of the SV forum here, but a quick glance the post numbers show that SV is WAY ahead of any other show in terms of posts on the Hype (143K).

And yet LOST, with its measly 15K posts seems to be the one getting all the nominations. :(

I know SV has been on 3 years longer, but even so, it's not even close as far as fan interest and participation on this site.

On the contrary, you'd be surprised by how many so-called naysayers still go out of their way to watch the show.

The thing is, though, that doesn't mean it's their "favorite" show on air.

Good point. I guess I wasn't looking at it the right way.

Lost is another show I tried very hard to get into, but it was always so frustrating to watch. Maybe if I would have stuck with it, some of the nonsense would have been explained, but my patience ran out.

I love Lost and could totally see why it's being nominated all the time. My vote went to Dexter but I understand not a lot of people watch that show since it's on Showtime. But yeah, I would be happy if Lost won.

Lost is definitely one of the best shows not only in the present, but ever. Battlestar Galactica is pretty damn good also, they deserved the prizes they have won and may win in the future.

Also Jeannot Sczwarc, a frequently used Smallville director, directed a Heroes episode.

Hello,

I'm a friend of Serene's and she told me this was the hangout to say hi at. :)

A little bit of short background on my Superman "fandom": first thing I ever saw was Superman: The Movie, have since seen pretty much everything else and like the first two Donner movies and the Timmverse most of past incarnations. Started watching Smallville in Season 2, became a huge fan in Season 4. For all its faults it is my favorite. I'm a huge Erica Durance fan and her Lois Lane is the reason I've stuck faithfully by the show through the years, and the main reason I'm enjoying Season 8 the most of any season thus far. I guess that's about it!

Anywho, hello everybody and I'm glad I got to join the forum. :)
