That was great.

Doesnt it make you all kinds of happy when you can see that these people really get on well together?

I couldnt quite catch what Jared P. said about Tom and the Gym.

The only thing that spoilt it was Rosenbaum chewing the gum. :down

And that picture of Erica and Kristen is just gorgeous.

Really? Oh c'mon, C. Lee. That joke was funny because it was self deprecating to everybody. :(

How 'bout a blue one?

Just a little pre-emptive airstrike.

S'kay. I understand.

Fess up though - you did laugh, d'incha? :p ;)

I had lasik on my eyes today.. and it's recommended that I *don't* spend hours staring at a computer screen.

saw X-Men 3 tonight. Very cool movie. Saw a 5:15 showing and the theater was PACKED. A lot of action in the movie, moreso than the first two by far. I thought Ratner did a commendable job, honoring what Singer had done before him but yet doing something new.
The hardcore comic fans will love certain aspects of the film (some of the battles) and hate other parts (some of the deaths, power losses). But mainstream audiences are going to eat this up like candy. My guess is this thing pulls in over $90 million EASY over the 4 day weekend.
Oh and one other thing, my theater went ABSOLUTELY ape $hit at the trailer for "Snakes on a Plane". It was hilarious, the response this thing got.

Glad you liked it Hulk. I also saw it tonight, and have learned one thing from it, that Ratner is a hack director. I thought it was kind of Blah...Most of the people I went with though liked it.

The deaths were stupid, so was the power losses. The one thing that was missing from this movie that the others had was character. The characterization that made that last two movies good wasn't even there in this movie. They should have re-titled the movie X3: Wolvie and Storm take Manhatten. Gah!!!! I was just so fed up with alot of the writing in the movie that I just stopped enjoying the good stuff. The only...and only thing that saved it at all for me was Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and the Iceman scene at the end.

The rest just irritated me for some reason. Especially the first "death", the second "Death" was kind of made up for after the credits.

He added so many characters in that we didn't get to really know any of them. Some just kind of dropped off after about half the movie, and others were written so poorly that I don't think even they knew who they were supposed to be. Then there is the strange thing that some characters had like one line in the movie and that was all.
He just had no direction for where he wanted the movie to go, or he didn't know what to do with half the characters he introduced.

I really am glad there are some who are enjoying it. Ratner should stick with Rush Hour in my book. Now we'll never know where Singer had planned to take the series or what his idea of X3 would have been.:( :down

Ya that seems to be the general consensus right now. I'm gonna see it tommorow morning (to rip the Superman trailer also w my camera).

I always think character driven stuff should always come before action, action should simply compliment it. X3 loaded itself with a truckload of new supervillians and characters (to the fankwank dream of alot) but I doubt it had time to develop them all and develop any kinda character driven story.

Anyways, I'll give it a fair shot tommorow. I think I'll still enjoy it since the first 2 were so solid, everythings already set up perfectly for X3.

I'm kinda glad about that. frankly I thought the first two X films were terribly underwhelming, and lacked any decent action sequences befitting the X-Men. This was the 3rd film in a series, I didnt think wasting too much times on characterizations was warranted. You do that in the intro film and perhaps part of a second. The only major new player given any screen time was Beast, and I felt they gave enough backgorund on him to explain why he did wah the did. This movie seemed a lot more like a comic book come to life than the first two movies. They also didnt beat us over the head with the parallels between the mutant plight and homosexuals which was a refreshing change.
I didnt stay after the credits, what was that scene?

That's all I had wanted. The first two were great because of the characterization throughout. This one put flashiness and action before any type of characterization. It just upset me, that's all.

I really don't care if they kill characters, it happens, it moves the story, and it makes for great drama; but for the love of Pete, can you at least try to let us know who the characters are. Two hours of movie, and we are never really told who these people are, or what their motivations are (Aside from being Magneto's sheep).

It just could have been so much more than what it was. :(

They took us to Moira's lab, with the man lying in the bed that they showed in the beginning. Moira walked in the lab, and a voice from the bed said "Hello Moira" in Xavier's voice.

She looked at him startled and said "Charles", and then the movie ended.

One has already been reported. So many have seen it. Theres a shirt-rip in it also.

Maybe it just didnt play at your theatre. Some privately owned theatres operate differently.

Oh, i thought they were all sent with the same trailers. I guess I was one of the lucky ones then....

I tried to hold it back, but I just couldn't...

You folks interested in my rather... detailed opinion of the new X-flick might want to head over to the X-customer review thread in the spoiler forum... I let it all hang out... You'll see more of "me" than you ever have before...

However, readers should also remember that every pizza is judged objectively, with no intent, ill or otherwise, towards influencing choices on any other menu...
