The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The TASM 2 Costume Thread

Andrew Lucas, you did that on purpose! :argh:

Whaaaaat?

I mean just look at the costume, the lenses and everything else,it's just too gorgeous, shame that Gwen wasn't in this scene to enhance it.

C'mon guys. No talk about his denim shirt and chinos at the dim sum scene?! I mean who wouldn't care about what he's wearing in that scene? #lol

Sorry,I didn't know that I was bothering you,but you gotta say that they way he shoots the web is pretty badass.

I really liked Gwen coat,it made her even more gorgeous :hrt:

Damn...Peter was pretty hurt in this scene,at least Gwen was cleaning his wounds with her soft touch, don't you agree?

Who doesn't?

Well,I already showed some cool shots to Miles so I'm taking a break.

It's not as big as my Dane folder but it's getting there.

Anyway, Harry has a great dress sense in this movie.

I don't mind TASM1 suit that much, it looked ok in action. The material used for it though? No. Not fond of it at all.

It's a shame that they so badly botched the makeup and facial prosthesis for the Green Goblin. I actually liked the suit of armor itself and thought it was cool in sort of a twisted, evil Iron Man sort of way. The face itself though just looked disgusting, and not in a badass, intimidating way.

They didnt go far enough with the Green Goblin makeup and there is absolutely no reason the armor couldnt have been a deep dark purple and green combo. No one would question it.

I didn't mind the new suit. I still prefer TASM suit over anything we've already had. It's more to my liking.

That was my biggest gripe. The idea of his face becoming mutated to resemble the Green Goblin's mask works very well and is canon in the Ultimate comics (albeit with a massive Hulk-like body but still). The idea of giving him green armor and then having his face mutated is a nice compromise since there's really no in-story reason for him to go out and buy a silly rubber mask.

They half-@$$ed it by just giving him messed up teeth and scattered green blotches. They should've just gone all the way and given green skin, pointy ears, and fangs. The way they did it, he just looked like a nasty, grungy loser with a skin condition.

This post sums up my feelings toward the Green Goblin design. Although, I don't think I would want them to "go all the way" to the point where he would look like the 616 goblin, just mutated....I just would've preferred if his design was a bit more mutated.

I've said this before, but my biggest gripe is that you can only see the detail, when it's a close up. Then you see the blotches/slight green. But from far away, it just looks like a human in a cool suit, in which if you were to ask yourself which Spider-Man villain that is, or who he closely resembles, you couldn't say Green Goblin.

^ While I'm not a fan of this design I would have liked it much more had they added a green tint to all of his skin and also had some yellow tint to his eyes.

Exactly, no one would have flinched or even complained if he just morphed into the actual Green Goblin we know and want. Also would have been cool if we DID get to see the scene in oscorp and he grabs some kind of purple military goretex hooded poncho thing or whatever to cover his face up a bit before leaving.
