one for each type of camera shot methinks. The "naked" one in the middle photo is maybe to get the camera mounted so it looks inside and stuff

thats what i was thinking too. or the military took the Tumbler and modified it slightly... hhhmmmmmmm

either way... the sight of those 3 Tumblers is so freaking sweet!

Holy, what the hell is going on with all of these tumblers?

besides, why aren't they in black ?

My Ninja said there's a chance we'll see Tumbler Vs. Tumbler...

All three Tumblers are slightly different. Interesting...

You are correct.

I'm pretty sure the other is "Stealth Mode" but, I can't be positive

:wow::awesome: Bane takes one for himself, perhaps?

Maybe, All I got was a general rumor.

There's apparently an elaborate truck chase going to be filmed at the end of this month, maybe it has something to do with that.

I don't know what I personally think of Bane in a Tumbler

I'd imagine multiple Tumblers are more to do with filming purposes than anything else.

My guess still is that the military/GPD get a hold of another camo Tumbler, and uses it to chase Batman in his black Tumbler. More could have been made in the time between BB and TDKR.

I think so too; however there isn't any good shots of the Tumblers I can see all too well.

None of those three seem to match the Black Tumbler

It's possible but, with Nolan it's never that simple :cwink:

So apparently there is a rumor that Bale and Hathaway had an affair recently. The selfish part of me hopes it's true because maybe we'll get some great chemistry out of them in the movie. :p

well, for all we know- these COULD be Batman's "New" Tumbler - just different looking for certain camera placements or camera angles though.

but Rag, i agree, they do not really match the black tumbler at all which gives me hope for multiple Tumblers. I would LOVE to see an epic multiple Tumbler chase scene... jumping over cars and other crazy ish... Nolan can pull it off! haha

Bale already has enough trouble with DP standing in the way, that's not to be in jeopardy with a female making panda eyes.... or he'll go:

"WHAT DON'T YOU F***IN' UNDERSTAND ?? YOU ARE TRASHING MY SCENE ! you and me Anne we're done professionnaly !!"

:awesome::woot::o

I just had a thought. I know Nolan like's the Bond films and one of my favorite parts of Tomorrow Never Dies is when Bond has a remote control for his new BMW.

What if Batman has one and uses two Tumblers to throw off his pursuers from catching him?

Doesn't make sense though. Lucius said they were prototypes and only 2 were in existence. Surely if the military were to place orders for them he would know. I'm guessing that maybe since the first one was destroyed and the cops got it (I'm assuming they picked up the wreckage) that it was found to be Waynetech property. And if logic follows they would investigate and a cover story would have to be given to them by Lucius. I'm going out on a limb here and speculating they would have to tell them it was stolen and no one noticed the missing inventory because that dept had been mothballed.

Now did they believe that or did they really start looking hard at Wayne and Lucius? Did they confiscate the other prototype? Or did Bruce have it too? (that would be my guess) Or did he have them make more (off the books) so the inventory wouldn't show a shortcoming and they could say only the designs/materials were stolen?

It'll be interesting how they explain this.

interesting.

Correct me if needed: In BB did they say anything about the Tumbler being Wayne Tech exclusive?

From what I understood WayneTech got a federal grant to develop the tumbler but, that did seem to imply that WayneTech created it, rather only made it functional.

If that's the case, then they could have had competing contracts out there and a similar tumbler developed elsewhere.

As for the wreckage of the first Tumbler, that's a hard question to answer. Gordon is still on Batman's side at the end of TDK, I wouldn't be surprised if the wreckage got back to Waynetech some how

I doubt Gordon did that. Unless he knows for sure Bruce is Bats. And even then his men would know. The easiest answer is that Bruce destroyed it totally beyond any recognition like the military does with equipment they have to abandon. I'm guessing it had a lot of thermite in it for this purpose.

But you really have to melt it good if you want to fool the govt's forensic team.

Oh i don't mean Gordon brought it back to Wayne Tech but, simply didn't go after the wreckage himself to let Batman deal with it.

Considering they were dealing with Harvey and whatnot at the time, could it be possible he just turned the other cheek and let Batman deal with the wreckage himself.

Also the GPD probably wouldn't have the resources to investigate into the origins of the tumbler without getting federal help; Gordon has to make that ultimate choice to involve the Feds, no?

Couldn't he just said: "no"?

well Batman is a fugitive at this point. Gordon refusing to investigate, impound it or call for help would be suspicious and have people looking at him as a co conspirator.

If it happened after TDK yes but, couldn't it possible these things happened during TDK? Everyone knew Gordon was complacent with Batman at that point.

Between when Harvey is saved Gordon getting back to MCU to interrogate Joker, might Batman been able to salvage the wreckage and hide it or something?

EDIT: Also refusing an investigation like that could be seen as suspicious but also it could be he doesn't want the federal government poking around in Gotham. This happens a lot in real life; Batman is a murderer to them yes but, I'm not sure that would necessarily constitute bringing in the federal government to bring him down. (however if he's being blamed for Harvey's death then it could)

From NolanFans:

Just went down to the 41st street set. It's blocked off 2 blocks from Butler and 1 block from Foster. They were very clear about saying no photographs, but I can tell you they have snow on the road (not a lot, but bits piled up on cars and near telephone poles, etc. They were rolling two or three times when I was there, and was told that they were filming in the house. It got very quiet on set when they called out "rolling" and I thought I could hear someone in the house raise their voice at some point. Sounded like bale...
