I really don't think we should be speculating on who those silhouettes are. As MK9, Injustice 1 and MKX have shown us in the past, those do no represent actual character silhouettes. I mean silhouettes from the first MKX roster included President Obama, a Lego Man and Hulk Hogan. They're just placeholders.

been watching some more gameplay of this.

and it seems that this Superman is the evil Regime version. His intro has him in Kryptonite handcuffs and his win pose is an angry ground pound pose.

I know it makes sense in the context of the story. but, as a Superman fan, I don't really want him to be the bad guy. I hope there's a way to play as good Superman from the regular universe.

also, I wonder if Supergirl is pro or anti Regime. I hope she's on the good side. Judging by her win pose, where she floats and looks happy flying into the air, it seems like she is good??

and if they are only using Regime versions of the characters, I guess that would mean Raven is bad ( since she was on Regime side in Injustice ), which I also don't like......lol

Does any of that really matter outside of the story? Supergirl under normal circumstances wouldn't be fighting Batman, yet here we are. It doesn't matter what faction they represent once the announcer says "fight".

I'm glad to hear there'll be some tournament style modes that won't feature any of the gear stuff. Keeps things more even.

Yea there's no point in over analyzing those silhouettes. Game has approx another year in development, the final roster probably isn't even finalized yet.

Yea, he could still show up tho. Manhunter was in the background in the last game and he eventually made the roster

well, you could say that for any fighting game.

but I'm talking story wise and lore wise in the game.

Like, in Street Fighter, Ryu and Ken are good guys in the story. Bison is a bad guy in the story. and so on.

just because you have a match between a Ryu and a Ken doesn't make either bad. Bison fighting another bad guy like Vega in a match doesn't make either good.

Story wise, Ryu and Ken are still good guys and Bison is a bad guy.

The silhouettes are fake placeholders, so trying to guess what character it is is pointless honestly. Boon did the same thing for MKX and none of the silhouettes ended up being the actual characters.
