After reading much of the comic series (currently on year 5) I'm gonna have a hard time buying Superman as redeemed if it's the same one from the first injustice.

Have they confirmed how much the comic series is canon to the sequel?

IDK but there are little references most notably in Black Canarys dialogue and interactions. In the comics he nearly kills her yet Doctor Fate intervenes and takes her to an alternate universe where she can raise her son with that universes Green Arrow (who's Black Canary died). I'm pretty sure that will be referenced with Arrow as well, especially when fighting Superman.

Yep, this is true. Actually, in Injustice 2 #2 [BLACKOUT]Dr. Fate returns to the alternate Earth where he transported Black Canary who has a life with Oliver (and a son) seeking their assistance to help Batman in rebuilding their society. [/BLACKOUT]

It'll be interesting how they tackle the canon considering in Injustice Year One it was shown that the Joker killed Crane so that he could access his fear toxin.

^Right. I loved the game when I first played it without reading the comics but the experience is so much better after reading them. I had no idea why batgirl was chosen(and how she could walk) until I read the comics. The Nightwing/Damien stuff made sense as well.

I was hoping they'd give him a couple moves that he had in MKvsDC. Like his joy buzzer and punching glove.

It looks like he plays nearly like he did in the first game, so I don't quite understand the point of keeping him a surprise.

The latest character trailer for 'Injustice 2' features the pre-order fighter, Darkseid, in all his villainous glory.

And didnt superman kill the joker in the last one? How is he back? Why does he look completely different?

@donguason The story is pretty good especially if you read the injustice comics as well. And we're dealing with different universes again so I'm sure this is either "one of three known jokers" (if they go that angle) or a different universe Joker (perhaps from the one Black Canary and Green Arrow come back from).

As for the design, I'm sure there will be vest and tie gears for him. I actually like it minus the Ha Ha on his torso.

Try as I might not to sound like "that guy", but I'd be enjoying this stream more if they had people who had at least a base familiarity with what's going on... or didn't call the Canary Cry the Sonic Scream... or didn't just try to tell me Shazam was in the game. The button-mashing is overwhelming.

I'm definitely registered! The original mobile game I downloaded originally as a means to quickly unlock the Knightfall skin for Bane and Batman Beyond skin but I was surprised by how much of a fun little fighter it was. Especially considering all of the extra characters and skins they added.

Also, in regards to DLC, Ed Boon advised on the livestream that any character that people are like "THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN" is on the list. So, I take it Red Hood will be popping up and hopefully the likes of Starfire, Etrigan and John Constantine?
