I'm fine with this new interpretation of Thundercats but they look anime inspired. Maybe it's because except watching a few episodes from the show I was never really into them and it's more TF and G.I. Joe for me.

As if Thundercats wasn't anime-inspired back in the 80s? (Transformers was made-in-Japan as well if I recall)

Well I wouldn't know since I mention I wasn't into the show and I have vague memory of the episodes I watched, but I what I meant is that this new interpretation anime inspired is more noticeable, particularly on Lion-O but if what you say it's true then ok.

How can they go from this promo image, which SCREAMED original look, just more awesome to...

... this? The only character that they've made look as good, if not better, is Tygra. I don't like the fact that Panthro is double the size of everyone and has hair, Cheetara looks like a little girl, and Lion-O... well, his look is growing on me.

The top picture was perfect. It looked as though the changes to characters would not be DRASTIC but they'd still put their stamp on it and moderise it for todays audience.

At the end of the day, I'm possibly being to harsh. I loved the original. It's my favourite Cartoon ever. I just hope they've got the right voices in and that the stories are amazing.

One thing. The top pic got the sword wrong lol. At least the new image has the original looking sword back

I'm still hopeful. You know, if they didn't have Panthro looking like he does, I may very well have been fine with it lol.

I just hope that with this show, they do something the last series didn't. Show the cats on Thndera, and showing the catstrophe happenning. And having continuous storyline throughout.

Anyways, I have faith it'll be awesome.

Not too sure about Cheetara's new look, she was always the glamourpuss (if you'll excuse the pun), this incarnation makes her look more like she's about to sing 'Memory' in Cats

Thundercats HOOOOOOOOO

Its different but at this point after all the updates of other 80's cartoons like GI Joe, He-Man, Ghostbusters, Transformers, etc I was expecting some changes. I mostly like the new look. I loved the original Thundercats growing up and I hope this turns out to be as good as the 2002 MOTU.

Its looking better than the update of one of my other favorite cartoons: GI Joe. I really don't care for the look or the setup to that new cartoon.

I'm curious to see the new Mum Ra now.

It's suppose to premiere sometime around this year but there's no premiere date so far.

What they did to the Sword of Omens saddens me, even though it's like 90% accurate to the original. From what I can make out of the art on the box, it's too small.

Nitpicky I know, but that was my favorite fictional weapon when I was five, I'm touchy.

Doesn't the swords blade grow and shrink? That may be the smaller dagger sized blade version. Or its just drawn that way since its a kid sized toy.

It does look shorter either way even if it is the full sized version but it doesn't bother me to much.

God, when is this anime fad going to be over.

I don't mind the new looks, except for Panthro. He doesn't need to be hulking. I'll judge it when I see it. Can't wait to see the look of the other characters.

I'll watch it because my kids and I love Thundercats. I picked up them up cheap at Walmart.

I don't like Lion-O's hair at all. He needs to have a huge mane. Also if the spoiler is true then that is so dumb because it makes no sense. They are two different species not to mention that the Thundercats universe, in the show, never had mixed breeds.

Panthro looks more like an ape than a panther.

What spoiler? Put it in a spoiler tag, I need to know.

I also didn't recognize the sword to the far right. And this picture is awesome. I would have liked it even more if John Blackstar's Power Sword had been included instead of Snake-eyes' sword. GI Joe was a different type of show when compared to the other shows in this picture and doesn't really fit with the genre.

Given how young Lion-0 looks now, I expect his voice to sound like a young kid rather than the deep commanding voice I'm used to and that a leader should have.

I hope they don't change Jaga too much and give him the same level of sage-like wisdom he had in the original. I hope they go wild and crazy with the twins, I think they were a little too reserved in the original, despite their personalities.

Is the story going to be the same as before or has that been changed for the new show? Or is that not general knowledge yet.

For Batman TAS, scenes were animated overseas and then brought back to the states.
