The tabloids wanted him to lose his endorsements. Cheating on his wife won't necessarily cost him his endorsements, but prescription drug abuse (potential performance enhancing drugs?) would be a much more likely way for him to lose those endorsements. From a morality standpoint, the marital issues are a bigger deal. But his profession is golf. If he's cheating at that or having a drug problem, then that is a huge deal. The tabloids are probably digging as much as they can on the drug issue.

Uchitel, the woman linked to Tiger Woods in a cheating scandal, had a passionate romance with Boreanz, the star of TV’s Bones, in a story that was broken by Star magazine in its November 2 issue.
RadarOnline.com has confirmed the affair with a source close to Boreanz, who chided the actor for being a fool and said at first he tried to lie his way out of the situation, before finally admitting it to people close to him.

Adding to the scandal factor is that Boreanz’s wife Jaime Bergman was pregnant while he cheated on her with Uchitel.
Uchitel has now been linked to Tiger Woods by the National Enquirer and although she has denied a romantic relationship with him, the story exploded nationally when Tiger drove into a tree on Friday.

Uchitel is a New York City events planner and met Boreanz in the spring at Griffin club, where she was director of VIP operations. That’s when they began their torrid affair, according to Star.
The magazine reported exclusively that Rachel ended the relationship two weeks after Bergman gave birth. Star also said that Boreanz was calling Rachel while his wife was giving birth!

Uchitel to Admit Affair


The original woman identified as having an affair with Tiger Woods has called a press conference amid reports she is set to admit the full extent of their relationship.

Rachel Uchitel, the New York nightclub hostess who stayed at Melbourne's Crown Casino at the same time as the golfing superstar last month, will front the American media overnight.

The 34-year-old has previously denied any link with Woods, 33, since reports of an affair were published in the National Enquirer.

The scandalous story was then linked to the golfer's bizarre car crash last Friday, which reportedly followed an argument with his wife Elin Nordegren over the allegations.

"At the news conference will make a statement about Ms Uchitel’s relationship with Tiger Woods," Radar Online reported the hostess' attorney Gloria Allred as saying in a statement.

"Ms Uchitel will be present at the news conference but will not speak."

Since the first extra-marital claims were aired, another woman has come forward claiming to have slept with the sporting legend.

Los Angeles waitress Jaimee Grubbs has even provided a recording of what she says is Woods begging her to change her voicemail to hide their affair from his wife of five years.

While not directly addressing either allegation, Woods has apologised for "transgressions" in his family life.

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said.

Well there was, back in 1997. A writer for GQ quoted him telling a bunch of dirty jokes. Most people over the years simply wrote it off as a 21 year old being a 21 year old. Everyone assumed he matured a lot over the years but that is obviously not the case at all.

$300m is a hell of a lot of money, even for a guy with $1 billion. But here's the other thing, Tiger has a lot of interests in Dubai (which just had a financial crash). Methinks his net worth right now is significantly lower because of the Dubai thing than it was before this financial news came out last week.

I listened to Cowherd on ESPN Radio on the way to work this morning, and he speculated that since Tiger was raised by a strict father, and became obsessed with golfing at age 8 and later attended Stanford, he probably grew up as a nerd and had minimal experience with the opposite sex. This may explain his rather messy handling of his affairs.
