I thought that after the bang-up job he did on Deadpool, he deserved his own thread.
This man was born to direct. It's incredbile how this is his feature film directing debut. He has firm grip on story, the performances, humor and action.
I really liked how he kept the tone and feel of the film gritty and realistic. Considering how outrageous it is, I think many directors (esp. in these days and age) would've opted for a more stylized and over the top direction, whereas he and DP Ken Seng went the opposite way. Deadpool looks refreshingly natural (and void of excessive post-processed filters), and harkens back to the classic 1980s and 1990s action era, without feeling outdated.
Miller really made Deadpool something special and memorable. One to remember in the action genre. He managed to perfectly blend and balance the constant tonal shifts and past and present timelines and make it work perfectly. And he's got great eye for action scenes. They were all very kinetic and exciting.
Well done, sir! We Deadpool fans couldn't have wished for a better director!
I'm really looking forward to Tim Miller's future output.
