Trump Finally winning a poll vs Clinton in NC

According to a newly released survey by Public Policy Polling, the vast majority of North Carolinians say they are “not sure” how they feel about Deez Nuts, and those that do have an impression of the presidential candidate overwhelming say they do not care for Deez Nuts.

Of the choices I think Not Sure is the only one smart enough to solve our current drought problems, must be why he's polling so high :o

Trump has already passed Clinton in a poll in Florida.

Clinton is coming apart at every nail.

Two Boston men were charged yesterday in the beating of a homeless Mexican man. The victim was allegedly sleeping outside a subway station when brothers Scott and Steve Leader rummaged through his things, then started beating him around the face and neck and hitting him with a metal pole. One witness heard the brothers laughing as they walked away.

Here's what police say Scott Leader told them to justify the assault: "Donald Trump was right — all these illegals need to be deported."

Here's what Donald Trump said when told about the alleged assault (according to the Boston Globe) at a press conference in New Hampshire: "I haven't heard about that. It would be a shame, but I haven't heard about that." Then the crowd buzzed, and Trump added: "I will say that people who are following me are very passionate. They love this country and they want this country to be great again. They are passionate. I will say that, and everybody here has reported it."

In other words, Trump, asked a question about an alleged hate crime committed by two of his followers, pivoted to praising the "passion" of his followers.

When people are committing hate crimes in your name, you do not call them "passionate." You do not say they "want this country to be great again." You say they do not represent you or your beliefs. You talk about why your followers are different from people who beat up homeless men because they're "illegal."

Donald Trump isn't explicitly saying it's okay to beat people up because of how they look, but at least two men have interpreted it that way. And instead of telling them, and the rest of his followers, that that interpretation is unequivocally wrong, he's — at best — framed it as a moderately regrettable downside of his movement's "passion."

Hmmmm, there's starting to be kinks in his armor. I hope I don't see lynchings and mob beatings of Hispanics in the near future. The fact he didn't decry them, but called them passionate, does not bode well with me at all.

A poll in Florida going towards a Republican candidate is about as surprising as a poll about meth coming out over sobriety in a rehab center.

It should do a lot more than just not bode well with people, it is implicitly condoning that behaviour by not speaking out against it. He's vying for the highest seat in the USA, if he doesn't speak out about people assaulting someone because of their race now, what's he going to do about denouncing other deplorable behaviour like riots or shootings if he's president?

This guy is a clown, and anyone that thinks he'd realistically be able to run a country are deluded in the extreme.

My state is so damn weird, we voted Dem for the last 2 Pres elections, (3 if all the votes were counted in 2000) yet nobody ever goes out for the mid-term elections so we end up with the GOP in the governorship. Freaking FL man

I'm starting to think that even Deez Nuts won't stand a chance at this point.

That sounds like people only take things seriously when the chips are down. This is like a practice round in poker where people act the fool because it isn't real money, and then backdown and become conservative when it's their money on the table.

I !mean it'll be good comedic fodder, but if you recall, so was Bush.

This Baby Was the Only Reasonable Person at Donald Trump's Rally

Yesterday Donald Trump and his 20,000 most fervent supporters gathered for a “pep rally” at Ladd-Peebles stadium in Alabama. “You know, now I know how the great Billy Graham felt,” Trump said to crowd. And just like a Graham-style revival, Trump sang to the souls of pilgrims. According to The Guardian, Trump read from the Word of Trump, Orthodox:

“He called to build a wall on the US-Mexico border (paid for by Mexico), for an end to birthright citizenship (‘anchor babies’), and questioned why America should protect Japan if it was attacked. He called Bush ‘weak on immigration’ and said Democrat Hillary Clinton wouldn’t ‘make it to the gate.’ He said that despite popular perception, the Triple Crown-winner Secretariat was really not that great of a sire. He said he went to jury duty.”

The crowd cheered, they hate Secretariat just as much as Trump. And though the crowd was not as large as the Trump campaign expected—they said 40,000 RSVP’d for the event—those that came were thrilled to have Trump lay hands on them. Everyone except for one single baby.

As Trump cupped the baby’s chubby cheeks with his hands, the baby betrayed his bafflement at the adults around him. There, on the baby’s face, was a mixture of confusion with slight fear. That baby is all of us.

:lmao:

See, people are brushing it off and ****, but the thing is, these fervent fans will make damn sure they get to vote, whereas some of us more liberal and cynical types are just like, "meh." And he could actually make some headway due to the apathy.

Trumps supporters only account for 25% of the GOP which I've heard only accounts for less than half of the voting population. So it's going to take more than us staying home and all his supporters voting.

Only because the other Republicans have a demagogue of their preference. If Huckabee, Santorum, Cruz, Carson, etc all drop out, I could actually see Trump's numbers go up significantly.

Trump's only problem is that he's not an Evangelical.

60% of the Republican party these days is far right.

I saw a poll out the other day with Trump getting strong support from Evangelicals.

At least the Klan had the good sense to wear sheets. These people can't even be bothered to do that.

White Power 2016?
Wow, that's......just crazy. I mean, I knew things were gonna get outta hand eventually with his pandering to white supremacists, but damn seeing it happening straight up is just crazy. I'm at other forums where Trump supporters are pretty much all saying, that's not his message, and he can't control what people say and it's not his responsibility. Dude is running for president, he at least has SOME responsibility by calling a group of people rapists, and not expect some sort of racist consequence. You can't be telling me he is NOT pandering to the racists here.

Yeah... McCain had a similar problem.

But Trump is really aggressively courting the racist far right. Well, the overly racist far right, I mean.

A lot of people are comparing him to George Wallace.

The right wing is on the rise in Europe, and it will be stateside too. Trump knows exactly what the connotations of his statements are to certain uncouth American demographics. But he's doing the smart political thing by having two conversations at once. It's difficult to point out any place where he explicitly calls for any kind of racism or prejudice, so he can just argue semantics over his comments about Mexicans.

Basically he's always known how to work loopholes, he's a businessman. This is more or less the epitome of big business and politics being in bed with each other.

Nearly 32 percent of Republicans surveyed online said they backed Trump, up from 24 percent a week earlier, the opinion poll found. Trump had nearly double the support of his closest competitor, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who got 16 percent. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson was third at 8 percent.

Even when Trump was pitted directly in the poll against just his top two competitors, 44 percent backed him. Bush won about 29 percent of respondents, and Carson 25 percent.

Trump is trending upwards. It seems like he's now even or ahead of Clinton in Michigan.

Michigan: Trump vs. Clinton

Clinton 39, Trump 40 Trump +1

It is very alarming that people would actually want Trump for President.

He's a joke. He'll turn the US into a joke.
