.....Dude, Smallville's Aquaman was an American Idol reject. Cmon now..

Aren't we talking about actors from the Superman universe here?

At least that Aquaman looked PERFECT for the part, and he wasn't all that bad.

His acting was reminiscent of Power Rangers... and Aquaman is part of the Superman universe, just not the Superman family.

But I'd put him and Zod on the same level of importance. Both well known DC characters from the comics (in Zod's case, hes only known thanks to the movie). Hes actually one of the lesser villians in Superman's rogue gallery.

Nhawk wasn't refering to that, Dean probably knows that he was the worst Superman ever.

He's right . . .I was just wondering if they were trying to drum up controversy, vs what his answer would have sounded like in person.

*and man was I low on caffeine when I made that post.

lol the only controversy would be on message boards like this one and something tells me they wouldnt care about that.

Well the good thing about this article is at least it puts Dean in the realm of possibilities for a future appearance. With all the DVDs coming out this summer of L+C and all the past Superman incarnations, it would be nice.

So I guess we'll see how it turns out for season 6. Maybe Lex/Zod will even continue into 6, we dont know yet.

Probably because I don't give personal info on message boards and because the majority of posters here are females, and I only post here.

I thought you were one of the older females on here at first too.

Then I noticed your name was 'Kai' , thats a japanese male name I think, so that would make you a male.

I even said my age (19) last time just to avoid confusion, lol, and i'm not Japanese.

Q: Speaking of rumors, is it true that "Smallville" wanted you to come on?

A: I met with those guys, but for another project. As far as I know, they've never asked me to do "Smallville". I like the show. I think it's completely different from the [character's] history, so I don't consider it a "Superman show." The guy doesn't wear the suit. And you can't be Superman if you don't wear the suit.

 even Dean knows the truth & he was the worst SUPERMAN ever . He was a good Adult Clark Kent but he sucked as SUPERMAN .

"You can't be Superman if you don't wear the suit" is no truth. From what I've seen everyone disagrees with him, even the guys at supermanhomepage lol.

That's like saying whoever wears the Superman suit is Superman. Imagine an 80 year old man wearing it, oh he must be Superman then lol.

I can't believe how little Cain knows about Superman. He should read the last issue of Infinite Crisis. Superman himself has said:
"It's not about where you were born. Or what powers you have. Or what you wear on your chest. It's about what you do. It's about action."
And in that respect Tom Welling is every bit the Superman Dean Cain was.

And furhermore. Why in Sweet Jeebus would we want Dean Cain to be General Zod for any other reason then the fact it would be a ratings grabber? Cain can't play a decent bad guy role to save his life, as evidenced by that horrible cheesy sci-fi movie from a couple of years ago where he was some kind of commander or something. It was about a war between to citites, Obsidian and brekka. What's ironic is that he was co-starring with Justin Whalin. :)

The suit is an important factor, if Clark wore the Blue jeens & Red jacket in public no one would call him SUPERMAN. so in a way you can't be known as SUPERMAN without the suit .

That was an amazing quote .

I think its fair to say you took that sentence completely out of context

Season one of Lois and Clark was good to me, I think everyone just jumps on the bandwagon when it comes to bashing Dean Cain:o

Yes but at the end Superman is just a name, it's what people call you. I just don't think the suit is needed. This goes for any hero. You can still be a hero without wearing a suit or a mask.

It's only like the final touch, I don't consider it important at all.

That doesn't scream Superman, that screams ANYONE

In the context of that quote I think he was lecturing Superboy Prime before Prime beat his ass.

Superboy Prime is Clark Kent gone all wrong; fell in with the wrong crowd (Alex Luthor of Earth 3), made all the wrong decisions and turned into a monster.

I'm sure Kal-L wanted to see some good in the boy but he was too far gone.
