Metallo Headed to 'Smallville' Next Year

According to TV Guide, Metallo will be making the jump to "Smallville" next season.
Taking on the role will be Brian Austin Green, formerly of "Beverly Hills 90210." Those who remember him only for that show should check him out in "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles," where he showed a flair for sci-fi/action.
TV Guide says Green will "appear as the kryptonite-powered villain (alter ego 'Daily Planet' journo John Corben) in at least the first two episodes of Season 9, which kicks off Friday, Sept. 25."

Sweet news i was just reading about this myself. I had a feeling metallo was going to show up some day after cyborg was introduced back in season 5. I was hoping for metallo this past yr. But great news we got metallo. Now see we can have metallo, maybe throw in another dc villain, and zod could be their two for 5-9 episodes and the season is set.

Deffo a good casting choice. I was never a fan of his teen look or acting on Bev Hills 90210, but thought he was excellent in the Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles - he's matured a lot in both looks and acting. Will definitely make a good Metallo opposite Welling

Yeah not real thrilled about the DP journalist aspect. Would have rather he been someone that Lois and maybe Clark were investigating for a story (arms dealer or something). But it's nto the end of the world.

And John Locke, I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if he could turn out to be the "Mason" character they were looking to cast...interesting.
