The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

For me the fourth book was the best of the series. What is this thing with hating last books? Everybody seemed to hate the last Harry Potter book (and it was the best) and everyone seems to hate the last Twilight book (and it was the best again).

Blah, it's all personal opinions. No mater.

Will see this movie in theaters for sure. Specially since it's not 3D. Here in Bulgaria we can watch any non 3D movie for 2$ every Thursday.

It's not just me out of all four the 4th is disliked the most by the fans when compared to the others.

Why couldn't this be rated R? : (

Kristen Stewart is HOT! I'd have seen it just for that scene lol. Missed opportunity there by the studio unless they put out an unrated dvd. Many non-twilight guys would pick that up.

Plus more shirtless Edward Cullen for the girls and gay/bi guys.

Anyone think they'll be an unrated dvd and that's why they apparently shot a really graphic sex scene?

If it was R they wouldn't get that little girl money.

Part of the contract Stephenie Meyer agreed to when she sold the rights to Summit stated that the movies could not be over PG-13. Stephenie is Mormon and Mormons "aren't allowed" to see rated-R films, so yeah. Plus, what other posts said. They'd lose money.

As if this was ever going to be R with the fanbase being mostly teenage girls, lol, come on now.

ANYWAY, shame the sex scene was cut down as much as claim it is. Though i'm not surprised considering how much Stephanie loves Jesus.

It's out in a few weeks now, i'm excited, but for me it's just the teaser build up to the last movie, which i'm REALLY excited for.

I hope it's not trimmed down TOO much. The Notebook was able to do a pretty hardcore sex scene and remain PG-13.

I find it funny how many are taking me 100% seriously. I work IN the industry, I don't need to be taught it's politics. If it was rated R though - I'd see it. As said, I've had a thing for Kristen Stewart since 'Into the Wild.'

Nonetheless I'm really surprised about the writer, especially due to a really graphic scene I heard about through the grapevine in the book.

There's no graphic sex scenes in the book. It mostly fades to black. The most graphic thing in the book is the birth scene.

The PG-13 rating states it'll have "partial nudity", which means that could range from a flash of Pattinson's bare ass or side boob action from Stewart. Of course, A Sound of Thunder had "partial nudity" and there was no physical nudity in the film.

The funny thing about the MPAA is that you can have a lot of bloodless violence in a PG-13 movie but if you have something remotely close to a hot-and-heavy sex scene (like actual thrusting) it gets slapped with an R-rating. The uncut sex scene could've been pretty tame for all we know.

That's the scene I was talking about. Seems hardcore from descriptions of it.

You basically see it from two perspectives in the book: Jacob's and Bella's. From Jacob's perspective it's pretty bad, but from Bella it's mainly about how much pain she's in and how scared she is. I heard they're doing it just from her POV in the movie and only see what she sees, but if you've read the book you'll know what's going on. For example: [BLACKOUT]Edward biting Bella's uterus open to get Renesmee out. You'll see him lean down toward her stomach, hear a noise, and then you'll hear Renesmee cry instead of actually seeing him bite. [/BLACKOUT]

Well Stephanie gave ZERO sex in the book, which always felt like a real slap in the face after she cock teased us all for 3 whole books before then. Not that i expected some X rated chapter, but she could have at least written something SOMEWHAT softer and romantic, but she gave us NOTHING. It's literally, "they get in the bed" [end chapter] "The next morning....", awful, lol.

We see Edward IN the bed BREAKING IT in the trailer, so we'll most likely see SOME sort of scene that hints a lot more at something than the book did. The makers can't forget all the Moms who see these movies too, half of them haven't been laid in years, they kinda need this, lol.

I would die laughing if they go nuts with that scene, not because it's funny but because i'd love to see them just go that tiny bir further and make it so graphic haha. I'm guessing it will go down the route you mentioned though, Rob did mention briefly that the scene WAS filmed, but said it wouldn't be exactly as bad as the book.

I do find it odd how Stephanie was so against the sex in the book but was more than happy to add the
VERY uncomfortable borderline peado vibe of the whole imprint thing.
I remember reading that and thinking "um....", everyone did lol.

I don't see it that way. If it were that way, Edward and/or Bella would have literally ripped his head off in five seconds flat. It is mildly creepy, I admit it, but it's not like he sees her that way at the moment and things won't change when she's older unless she wants them to change. It's all up to her.

Some Mormons community allow underage marriage if I am not mistaken.

Borderline? It mentions how Jacob spends so much time devoted to baby Renesmee when he knows as soon as she's of age he's going to make his move. Like a favourite uncle, a creepy uncle who is checking to see how she's 'getting along'. There was a subplot earlier in the book series about his friend 'imprinting' on a two year old.

The fact that you actually have to announce this shows how far we've come.

Announcement came after a certain post which has been removed.

The sad thing is this isn't the first time this has been said by a mod in here.
