Well those who wanted there to be a battle will supposedly kind of get their wish. Rumor has it that

when Alice and Jasper show up with the half-vampire that ends up saving the say, The Volturi still want a fight. So Alice shows Aro a vision of what would happen were they to fight. EVERYONE dies. It's brutal. Aro's like "Oh....****. Maybe fighting isn't such a good idea. We'll just leave now...kthnxbai".

Seriously? That's still not even a real battle scene?

It's like in Eclipse, where they spent half the book hyping up this big vampire/werewolf teamup against newborn vampires, and when that moment finally happens we're miles away in a tent listening to Jacob and Edward argue about who loves Bella more.

I think it's a nice compromise, if it's true. None of the main characters (the Cullens, at least) would have walked away from that fight if it happened.

I guess its the best they can do with the source material. Unless they radically change the ending which is not gonna happen.

I'll say the CGI wolves look better than the last two. Also I thought it was sacrilegious to touch Edward's hair, he looks pretty weird with it trimmed now.

Same here! I really think they might have this one down pat. I do not remember the wolves being so pissy about Renesme in the book. Am I wrong?

They were. They didn't actually ever go to the Cullen's house and try to attack (though they planned to - which is why Jake left to pack - to run and warn them)

Ok, that trailer is awesome! The mood looks great, the Bella makeup is creepy and (by the trailer) it looks like the actors has improved they game quite a bit.

According to Condon's partner Jack Morrisey, the score is recorded. The past week, Carter Burwell recorded the score at Abbey Road in London. Past Twilight composers Howard Shore and Alexandre Desplat also stopped by.

If only Desplat came back for Breaking Dawn... but I imagine that Condon got a good score out of Burwell this time. Much bigger scope and all, since Burwell's mostly scored Coen movies and independent films up until this point.

Whatever Condon directs, he does get a great DP to do them. I was surprised to see Guillermo Navarro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth) on this, but he does some great work.

Its guaranteed to be PG13 at the most, if not they will certainly edit down things to achieve it.

Well that makes sense since certain elements can be disturbing depending on how its filmed or presented such as [BLACKOUT]a baby killing her mother from the inside. [/BLACKOUT] Surprisingly the worse book finally adds some sense of horror to being involved with a vampire.
