That's how a lot of my fellow Twilight fans are. They ***** and whine about not getting anything from Eclipse (I do agree that putting out the first trailer this soon before the movie is ridiculous) and then bash it to all hell once something appears. They're very ungrateful. I'm still upset over what happened with Rachelle, but I'm giving Bryce a chance.

I should say I'm what can be called a "casual fan" of the Twilight series. I guess I get a "guilty pleasure" out of them but I'll freely admit they're not very good. I think what keeps me coming back is that, beneath all the cheese, I think there's a good basic story structure.

re: Eclipse trailer....glad to see Slade's kept the meadow looking right.

I'm not really digging the look of Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria. Rachelle Lefevre looked more predatory and dangerous.

Is it weird that Dakota Fanning of all people is like the one person in this whole vampire series who's actually kind of halfway creepy?

In all seriousness, as much as I find everyone else, including the villains, about as threatening as the Jonas brothers, I'll admit... Dakota doing her red-eyed stare thing gives me the willies a little bit. There's just something inherently spooky about vampires who look like 12 year old girls (Kirsten Dunst in Interview With The Vampire?) and I don't know why.

As for the battle, yea, I just hope the CGI is better than New Moon.

I haven't read the book so not sure about this battle royal of wolves/vamps. I'm assuming the vamps from europe are gonna fight Jacob and Co...wonder if the Cullans are gonna be in this battle as well...
I'll admit I wasn't down with this change of actress for Victoria,but the new chick looks pretty good,though not as good as Racheal,but not bad..

Why are people attacking BDH as Victoria? I mean we only see her in a 1 second close-up in the trailer. There is no way to really compare. I know she isn't the original actress, but Howard is one of the best young actresses in Hollywood and considering the last girl didn't even have any lines in New Moon, I don't understand why this is that big a deal. I feel sorry for the old girl who got the can, but this isn't exactly Shakespeare or Tennessee Williams...which Bryce Dallas Howard has done with magnificent success.

I don't get the hate for BDH here. She's gorgeous, she's talented, and her attitude isn't "Big deal, I'm not Levefre so suck it!" She's pretty cool about the whole thing and respectful, which shows she has class.

The reason I went to see New Moon, against my better judgement, is because the trailers were very impressive looking. Unfortunately for Eclipse, this trailer gives me no such reason to watch a twilight film again.

I hope a second trailer will redeem itself. The Twi-films are seriously disappointing me from the engaging books I read. And "Eclipse" is my favorite of the series. Here's to hoping.

yeah but it still looks like the same type of crap to me. 30 days of night was a dissapoinment, and its not like we're dealing with some great filmaker here. if somebody can manage to make twilight good, i will eat my own ****
