She looks better actress wise in The Runaways. She well seems uncomfortable more son in these films then in her other movies. Twilight 1 wasn't bad but 2 was horrible and have no hopes for 3 or 4 after seeing 2 for it lost me after New Moon.

Anyone get the impression that they are scaling back on the marketing for this film? Just looking at the trailer and the promotional poster, they look awfully cheap. I mean compare it to the promotional work for New Moon, you could tell that New Moon was a big production. Eclipse on the other hand, well there's only one word I can use to describe the marketing so far; underwhelming. Could it be a case of Summit knowing when they are onto a winner and don't feel the need to splash out on the promotion of the film?

what is the myth of vampires and silver? Does it kill them or just weaken them? I rememeber them talking about it in From Dusk Till Dawn where Tom savini's character can't remmeber if silver kills them and the other dude corrects him by saying it was werewolves.

It depends on who's writing it. In the BLADE movies it kills...in some writings it weakens them or repels them....

The point is....I have been watching and reading vampire stories for over 40 years....rarely do two different movies have all the same properties in use.

In some stories...if you are bitten and die by a vampire, you become one....in others you have to choose to become one....in some just being bit will turn you into one....in some stories vampires absolutely cannot survive in sunlight...in others it weakens them...in some no effect whatsoever.....

If some of you guys don't like this version of vampires....fine...but don't say it doesn't follow the rules of vampirism....because nothing follows the rules of vampirism.

A good portion of Twilight's fanbase is teenagers.....if most anything's more than two years old they don't know about it, understand it, or care about it. No need to get upset that they don't know the history of vampirism.

I am not Trolling i am giving an opinion. Many people like twilight and for a time i did too. I am giving an solid opinion. Now they could make a good 3rd movie maybe but it needs work is all am saying. Vampires have different mythos these days but i just wish left of the weird diamond like skin parts and the 24/7 shirtless wolf boys is all.

You may put me on probation and you can do that cause your a Mod but your over reacting in what you think i am doing. Besides the point only a few select few tells me what to do.

I however will be civil here on it but you can't get mad if someone doesn't agree with you and be a successful Mod. Just don't get so hyper. Trolling is something where someone posts hateful comments in every thread and i did not do that.

Read Reviews of films on these Boards and my comments are civil compared. I mean i didn't rant and say why this movie sucks. All said was kinda insulting to the Vampire myth.

I agree not many vampire movies follow the same lore or myth and I think thats its a good thing in the bigger picture.
I know lot of the fellas hated the 'sparkle' effect,but it wasn't meant to be a menacing effect its like a lizard or predator using camouflage to trick their prey closer.
I had no problem with this and I fully understand this movie was a romance/teenie bopper movie and not meant for action frenzied crowd. Its not the best vampire movies I've seen and they aren't the worst neither.

I watch New Moon again last night and have to say it doesn't bother me as much as the first time. I think I was just upset the wolfs didn't get nearly enough screen time. I am Team Jacob all they way and have been since the first time I read the books.

Eclipse should be an amazing movie. I'm hoping the final battle will just be freaking sweet.
