H'okay guys and gals...You may be a little puzzled by the thread title, and you have reason to be confuzzed and stuff because:

1. I never really come into this forum
2. I'm a confusing poster
3. I haven't told you what this thread is about...

BUT NEVER FEAR!!! Meatbag shall inform you of the dilio.

Once upon a time The Last Meatbag was pondering, "how could I contribute to the great threads and competitions and games created by some of the juggernauts of the Hype" He reflected upon how he often found a lot of similiarites of himself in other comic book characters...and how he understood them...he thought he should be the main dood to star in some comic book movies

He was thinking of making an ultimate end-all cast list for the Recasting thread (in the community forum, if you Spider-fans ever venture out there) so....to wrap this up and get to the gist of what this is...

This is a try out, for some of you Fans to prove yourself to be


THE OFFICIAL SHH SPIDEY!!!!

(one of two versions actually)


This thread is to try out for one of these two parts
1.Good ole fashioned 616 Spidey
or
2.Ultimate Spider-man

No real difference...besides the age group..

Now, what YOU guys are going to be doing here, is answering a few questions (to convince everyone that you have a good feel for spidey) and post a Peter Parker-esque/Spider-man-ish picture of yourself. (You don't have to if you don't want to but it may score you a couple of votes)

I'll give you guys a week to apply, and then no more Try-outs
Then I'll start a voting thread in here and the posters of SHH will vote for who they think are the best canidates for Spider-man and Ultimate Spider-man. One winner will come out for both Spider-man and Ultimate Spider-man and those two winners will be added to

   616. I'm kind of a few years too old to be Ultimate.
   
2. What do you like about Ultimate Spider-man/616 Spider-man than any other Superhero?
   
   His humanstic qualities and relatabilty. He has actual problems whereas Superman and Batman are only relatable through their humanity, but they're far from relatable. (Superman being a literal alien from another world, Batman being a mutli-billionaire. Spider-Man was both born a human and has plenty of money troubles.)
   
3. Why do you want to be SHH's Ultimate Spider-man/616 Spider-man?
   
   ...I don't even know what the hell that is, honestly. I just figure I look dashing in tights.
   
4. If you were Spidey, and a loved one was murdered by the hand of a mugger, how would you react? (be original, not copying the storyline of the comics here )
   
   ...How else? I'd rip their heads off and feast on their blood, then leave their remains in a web atop Empire State Building. Nothing screams "Friendly Neighborhood" like a little city wide decor.

If I were Spidey, I'd tell... my girlfriend, probably. When I got one by showing off my powers and stuff.

I would like to say that I would be the better man and not seek revenge but more than likely I would probably kick the crap out of him. I wouldn't kill him but I would absolutely kick the living crap out of him.

I'm sure eventually I would tell them but at first I wouldn't. Not because I wanted to keep a secret identity but because they would worry about me too much.

1. Ultimate (I'm young)

2. He's got some awesome powers, and uses them for good, and is a nice guy, and trys to help people no matter what. And he's a real person, with a personality, with problems that you can relate to.

3. Well, honestly, I would do what Peter did. If you have powers like that, you have to use them for good.

4. I would probably tell my brothers and sister. I don't know if I would tell my Mom or Dad though, they probably wouldn't like it.

And I don't have a digital camera, so I can't post any pictures. But I do look pretty Peter Parker-ish, but I also look like a young Wolverine when I have my hair up and do that eye-brow thing.

1. What do you like about Ultimate Spider-man/616 Spider-man than any other Superhero?

I used to love his never quite attititude, the science part of him always appealed to me as well as the manner that he used to go in against foes that would outclass people of his stature but it was his mind and scientific nature that would get him through confrontations.

I also like the way he treated his friends and his loves ones, with utter total respect and that for the majority of the time, he wouldn't kill anyone.

I would spend every waking hour either trying to help my poor aunt or i would dedicate my life to helping others deal with the traumatic experience, especially younger children who may be in a similar situation. i would use my special powers to do charity feats and raise money for the cause.

I would only tell my sister because she is tough enough to handle it, my mother gossips far too much so i would keep her out of the way.

if you mean if i existed in the 616 timeline, then i would tell aunt may when i was old enough to move out of the house, I would want the woman i (apparently) care more about than anyone to know about what i am doing and iwould hope that she was proud of me.

I would certainly know of the dangers of having a love interest and i wouldn't enter into one, i would use that as my lifelong punishment for not using my powers responsibly and the harm it may cause anyone close to me. With my aunt may being so old, i would rather have her die knowing what i did and being proud of me than perhaps thinking she may spread the news and endanger myself. She would be my only achilles heel and i would be make sure 'prep-time wise' that she was well protected.

What do you like about Ultimate Spider-man/616 Spider-man than any other Superhero?

He is the 'coming of age' hero. I've learnt more moral lessons in the pages of Spider-Man than in any school. It's not just the obscure theatrical acrobatics and stunning 'spider-like' action that makes Spidey unique- it's also his heart. He actually deeply cares for his aunt, uncle, girlfriend, clone..whatever. And more often than not, we hear his thoughts...he thinks a lot- we empathise with the things he gets into...as a result of the powers. They truly are, as the movie says, a 'gift and a curse'.

Knowing me, I would spiral into depression for a time. Slowly that depression would turn into anger. And i would probably try to achieve some sort of justice for the crime. Now, i dont know what i'd do now...i might co-operate closely with the cops....or i might follow the ult storyline and trace the mugger back to a crime ring.....or i might just track the mugger down myself....do a little survalience of my own..and well....get justice- in the heat of the moment, I may get out of hand and possibly even kill. But that's if rage gets the better of me.

I would probably do the ult spidey thing and tell my girlfriend. After she'd suitably freaked out, I'd keep it a secret from everyone else.....even my friends....you never know what would happen...

2. What do you like about Ultimate Spider-man/616 Spider-man than any other Superhero? The ultimate connection you can find with the character, you can't really find any way to connect with many other characters, sure you can find certain aspects to connect with, but because Peter Parker was written as an average Joe, his entire life is relatable. Spider-man was the first character to bring some sort of realism to the comics, and add a little bit of personal life besides just punches and kicks. Every teenager has that crush that they think is unattainable, they all have the ******** in their class who gets the girls and pushes some of the smaller guys around. Peter Parker is a loser, and that's why Spider-man is so great.
3. If you were Spidey, and a loved one was murdered by the hand of a mugger, how would you react? (be original, not copying the storyline of the comics here ) Hunt the guy down and bust his face in, of course I wouldn't kill him, a part of me would want to, but I'd realize a better punishment would be imprisonment at butt-pound camp.
4. If you were Spidey, would you tell your loved ones of your identity? Which ones? Why or why not? I would plan on not telling anyone...and if I did...I'd make sure they were someone I could trust...I don't think I would tell either of my parents, they'd worry too much about my safety..of course I'd have the urge to tell everyone for bragging..but that wouldn't be smart
