The Ultimate Jossverse Thread

Considering Whedon is a man that I consider to be horribly underrated. I am there. I just need time, & dates. Plus watching The Dushku again will be nice.:o

Yeah but it's still Fox. :csad: Even with a 7 episode deal, I'm not overly optimistic. Fox cancels everything.

I thought Whedon said he was never going to work with Fox again.

That's what I thought too. Guess he's desperate.

I'm not terribly excited for this. 1) It's on Fox, 2) it stars Eliza Dushku, who I don't think can carry a show, and 3) it's on Fox. I predict it'll be canceled before even the seven episodes ordered all air.

Yeah, you're probably right. Still, Fox is paying Whedon 2 million an episode...so yeah, there is an easy 14 million for him even if it fails.

True, it's great for him financially. Kind of disappointing that money and Eliza Dushku are all it takes for him to go back on his word and work with Fox again, though.

Could you guys be any more of a buzzkill? Give the show a damn chance. It's Joss Whedon for Christ sake.

Booo to yu, eliza is good, what TV shows has she been on that she was the main person? tru calling? it wasnt her fault the show wasnt that good

i love eliza, im really happy

I will always give a Joss show a chance, but I mean come on everytime I invest my time in a new Fox show it gets canceled before they've even laid out like the premise of the show. That gets kind of annoying after a while.

Breaking news. The show has already been cancelled to save them time from cancelling it later on after 6 episodes.

Yes, we all know Fox is notoriously *****ebaggy for cancelling great shows, but we just need to have faith.

Bones is still on the air somehow, so stranger things have happened.

Oh, wow, didnt even realize that when I was typing it. Good catch. But yes.

but she did take that over a whedon-produced Faith spinoff... :cmad:

Yeah, that was lame. Somewhere along the way I stopped thinking Eliza Dushku was a good actress. I still love Faith, though.

I thought it was smart of her. I also don't think a Faith spin-off would've lasted any longer.

I still like Dushku.

I was thinking about Faith's arc on Buffy, and I'm wondering what the Council planned on doing with her after she went rogue. They didn't kill her when she was in the coma, definitely had the opportunity afterwards, so what did they want? Were they going to mystically transfer her Slayerness to the next in line?

I think they wanted to see if Faith would try to redeem herself at first. Here's something that's been bugging me, shouldn't a Slayer have been called after Buffy died the second time or would that only work if Faith died?

Kendra carried the line after Buffy died, then Faith.
