And in no damn way is Spike the "edgier" Angel. Spike is almost a polar opposite from Angel and the best example of this is in "Destiny" When he was Angelus he loved being evil. I forget the actual dialogue but Spike says something along the lines of "I just jumped in with both feet and never slowed down to look at the faces of those I hurt" and Angel replies "I couldnt stop looking at their faces" Spike had emotional depth even as a vampire. He was always considered an exception among vamps. Angel even with a soul never really cared about anything until he found Buffy and his "mission"

What?!? Spike and Faith wouldve been great together. I liked Illyria but I dont really see how shed fit with Spike. I mean the first time Spike and Faith meet (when shes in her actual body) You could just tell that those 2 could have amazing chemistry together.

Spike and Faith would make good members of a larger cast. They'd make for a good buddy duo, but they need other people to play off of to be at their full potential. Honestly, if there's ever a return of Buffy in a non comic format, I'd say make it an Animated series that adapts both season eight and after the fall and ties them together. Would solve the problems of budget and the ageless characters not having ageless actors.

Illyria and Spike's chemistry would've gotten annoying after a while. There's only so much you can do with the whole thing of Illyria wanting to keep Spike as a pet.

I have a question: I always hear people talking about "Doublemeat Palace" with overtones of sheer dread. Always hear it referred to as one of the worst episodes in the series. I re-watched it recently, and I really enjoyed it. It was well done for a comedic stand alone. I thought Manny the manager was really funny. So, I guess I'm curious as to what is considered wrong with it.

the main part of that season I hated was the Nerds. I didnt mind Warren and Andrew btu I HATED Jonthan and hated that they brought him back for a full season and in such a prominent role. Buffy also started to really annoy me

I always enjoyed the first half of S6 and the very last bit of S6. Just hated the middle where Spike/Buffy start to hook up and go crazy with the sex.

I always thought that was an interesting part of Buffy and Spike's respective arcs.

I think Dawn was at her most annoying/useless in season six. Season five, she had the whole arc as the key, and season seven had her grow up a bit (not to mention that their were far more annoying chicks running around the Summers house for the better part of the season. Kennedy, dreadlocked slayer, etc.) but season six gave her really nothing to do but complain about how no one loved her.

But I loved the Dark Willow arc that capped S6 off.

I thought the nerds were made for a interesting big bad...if they can even be called that, more like the catalyst to the real big bad (willow), so I think in that respect they made for a good red herring. Oh, btw, any news on what Whedons got in the works currently? I know he's producing that Cabin in the Woods thing, but is he working on a new show or anything? I really wish he'd try another theatrical outing.

Backalley sex is what really ruined it for me, but otherwise it was an average ep.

I've been rewatching Buffy and Angel seasons recently and it's funny to me how better plotted Angel was then Buffy during it's third and fourth seasons compared to Buffy's 6th and 7th. I would say from the early Darla episodes of season 2 all the way until the Jasmine episodes of season 4, Angel was on a nonstop streak of awesome. But when they told us that Jasmine was responsible for almost everything that had happened to the show so far, most fans called BS and were pissed. I don't know. That's how I felt anyway. I also remember a lot of people hating Cordelia for sleeping with Connor and then being the big bad, it just got all kind of overly complex and silly. I think I would've liked the Cordy thing better if the real Cordy had been stuck as the higher power for the entire season and evil Cordy was just some husk thing that Jasmine was living in. I don't know. I'm only 3 episodes into season 4, maybe i'm not remembering it right.

Oh and "doublemeat palace" is nowhere near as awful as "Gone" in terms of horrid Buffy episodes. "Gone" was like torture for me. I just can't sit through that one. Invisible Buffy/Spike sex gives me the shivers. It was unfunny and dull. I don't hate the Buffy/Spike sex stuff as much as many others but that episode was horrific.

I Will Remember You, Hero, I've Got You Under My Skin, Eternity, Are You Now or Have You Ever Been, Reunion, Redefinition, Billy, Lullaby, Waiting in the Wings, Sleep Tight, Tomorrow, Supersymmetry, Apocalypse Nowish, Soulless, The Magic Bullet, Home, Hell Bound, Destiny, Damage, You're Welcome, Smile Time, A Hole in the World, Time Bomb and Not Fade Away are some the best television ever in my opinion.

Yeah, I couldn't stand Dawn either in Season 6. Seems like literally all she did was ***** and moan and whine and complain all season.

Yeah, I love Angel. I think it went right back to being awesome in season 5 after the end of 4 kind of petered out. I wish they would've had an season 6 though.

Anybody reading the Buffy and Angel comics? I just read Buffy number 28 and Xander and Dawn were...kissing. I was a little weirded out. I'd rather Xander finally be paired with Buffy for a change then Dawn. It just feels..icky. Yes, I know she's grown up but it doesn't feel right to me.

I have the entire Angel collection that I recently bought at a local music/dvd store. The show was excellent and I was part of the whole petition website that expressed anger, sadness, and confusion when it was revealed that it would be cancelled after the 5th season.

After watching the shows again and I still feel that Wesley was the best character of Angel Investigations. He went through the greatest and most realistic transformation that a character could go through.

I loved how he started out as the clumsy irritating Watcher on Buffy and eventually became a badass rogue demon hunter.

Invisible Buffy/Spike sex gives me the shivers. It was unfunny and dull. I don't hate the Buffy/Spike sex stuff as much as many others but that episode was horrific.

Isn't that a little harsh? I mean, yeah, you can't argue that it was the worst episode ever, but horrific? At worst it was kinda boring. Buffy and Angel's first seasons both had episodes that were worse.

Ehhh.... I found Kennedy, Dawn on occasion and dreadlocked Slayer to be far more annoying.
