That's Wotan, actually. An old Dr. Fate enemy. He was previously mentioned in the pilot.

And yes, loved this episode a lot. Very intense, with lots of character development. Easily the best since "Downtime".

Yeah the latest YJ was a really great episode overall, the ending was so-so because it was a hook up with the "omg X is the traitor!!!! or is it????" thing.
