Ye gods, the combat looks as amazing as ever. Seriously, the combat system stands out as especially impressive even amongst everything else that Arkham Asylum did amazingly.

I just cannot wait to buy this game

Love the character designs the story sounds fun on a bun and it looks incredible

Weird to see it mentioned in this thread today. Yesterday in class I noticed a woman with a Nook cruising the internet and I doodled on my notes "The nook has internet access??" After class the lady next to me leaned over and said "Yes, the Nook color has internet access. But look into the Amazon Fire if you're interested in something like that"

After the indignation of her looking at my notes (and wondering if she'd cheated off me during tests) I looked into it. looks pretty cool. Nice cross between a tablet and an e-reader.

They cleared this up when the daughter explained the probe. Time in Terra Nova isn't linear, so going back in time actually sent them to a different timestream. No worries about the chaos theory

I actually got interested in the Kindle Fire thanks to you jerks, only to find that it lacks the free 3G internet connection of its lesser, colorless brethren. So f*** that. When they inevitably release the Kindle Fire 2 or Kindle Fire 3G or Kindle Raging Wildfire or whatever the hell they're gonna call the version with all of the useful features still intact, I might think about getting one.

Remember, though, that "Arkham City" is a section of Gotham that the police cut off from everything else. It's probably a lot dirtier than the rest of Gotham, what with its being inhabited entirely by criminals and sociopaths.

Yeah, that. I noticed a student in one of my classes had an iPad, and it had a stylus and she was taking notes pretty much like writing on regular sheets. I'd love to have that; it'd save all kinds of space and paper. Not sure if the Fire has that, though. I know you can download note taking applications, but I don't really want to type that **** out. I haven't really read anything about that particularly.

Hugo Strange is responsible because he convinced the Mayor of Gotham (Who he just so happens to be controlling like a puppet ) to walled-off a large area of Gotham, and the district has been closed down and has been turned into a maximum security prison. Taken all the prisoners from Blackgate Penitentiary, as well as all of the people from Arkham Asylum, and just let them loose in this walled-off area of Gotham where it is a completely lawless zone.

That area looks pretty clean and polished, while still maintaining the basic gothic architecture associated with Gotham, especially compared to the slummy Arkham section.

That gameplay footage put me in the mood to rewatch the trailers released so far for the game and each character.And I can't believe that, with all the hullabaloo raised over Selina banging Bruce in her first issue, I haven't heard anyone reference Catwoman randomly slipping a dude the tongue while kicking his ass when talking about her comic. She seems to be marketed as pretty darn horny lately.

Well, being a sex symbol is kind of a major part of her character. She runs around in a black PVC catsuit, for crying out loud. (Not that even that was enough for the pervy designers at Rocksteady, judging from the fact that they unzipped her costume down to damn near her waist in the game.)

I don't really have any issue with the sultriness that's always been part of the character (with varying degrees of subtlety), or the fact that Bruce bonerized her recently, or even that she kissed this random thug (although that one in particular is something that surprised me. God only knows where that guy's been). It's more about the impression that's being collectively conveyed by those actions, overshadowing her usual image of plain ol sultriness in a tight costume.

I think that DC and Rocksteady are trying to tell us that Selina is in heat.

Oh, I've been meaning to ask about this but I keep forgetting: Is Robin actually going to factor into the story of Arkham City, or is he just for the challenge mode? I really want Tim to at least be in the story as an NPC or something...

I heard that he's just for the challenge modes, although I could be wrong. I don't really like Rocksteady's design for him anyway, so it's no big loss for me.

In fact, I didn't mention her costume at all in my first post, but simply her hornier-than-usual behavior recently.

I figured the shine was bad colorists.


Dear Rocksteady,
Boobs don't work that way. If sliding on ones back at a velocity that quickly, they would be slightly flattened
and move 'up' the chest a bit, thereby leaving the restraints of her suit.
This is further proven by the distinct lack of a brassiere to hold them in place.
I also demand more bounce during the flipping, spinning and kickassing.
