...I'd....Give them a pass. Honestly aside from the James Luceno and Stackpole stuff, everything seems a little chaotic. I kind of gave up on the series when they killed off Anakin Solo.

I'd skip to Legacy of the Force. More interesting. But probably because there was the whole Jedi-Sith thing going on which was pretty much absent during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion arc.

I loved the NJO because it wasn't Jedi vs Sith again. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the whole aspect of the mythos. Also, it has Traitor, one of my favorite books ever. Legacy of the Force I liked...mostly...but there was too much inconsistent characterization, and I hated Han and Leia. I shouldn't hate them.

Well, i want to read about the Solo kids before the muck up and how Ben Skywalker becomes a badass.

so another roller derby night....our home team lost but our A squad won handily over Charlotte

I've never read any of the novels, but I was kind of curious about the NJO ones because that's Kyle Katarn's main era. He becomes a Jedi Master and everything in those books. I love that dude. He's like Han Solo as a Jedi. But he's also little more than a side character outside of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games as far as I know, so I figured it wouldn't be worth it to read whole books for a few little passages about him.

Anyone else interested in the upcoming Dawn of the Jedi series? It's the furthest back any of the comics go, as far as I'm aware, all the way back to the founding of the Jedi Order on Tython in something like 35,000 BBY. Plus, it's by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema. :atp: Oh, and they just announced John Jackson Miller is bringing Zayne Carrick back for another Knights of the Old Republic series set right in the thick of the war that leads to the game, with Zayne somehow getting drafted by Revan's rogue Jedi. :atp: :atp: :atp:

Damned good time to be a fan of Star Wars comics. :D

Yes it is...any fighting and that skater or skaters in instantly ejected.....Texas is where the current incarnation got going in 2001.....they were the best team in the nation for a bit until being dethroned by teams from NY and Washington state....and Colorado

Some girls that were in a play with me this summer made me think twice. They were on a team. There were athletic. I guess it's just something that show folk would excel at.

Hey, if there are concessions I'm in.

:cap: :cap: :cap:

concessions, beer, merch, the organizations are run by the skaters themselves....they are very involved in the community

we have PBR and Rockstar as sponsors....along with Guida Milk and some other local businesses

Can you drink a yard or half yard of beer there? I remember drinking a lot of those at the Hartford Civic Center.

On a slight tangent... Business might be sending me back to Connecticut in half a year. Weird eh?

Does that mean they serve milk at roller derby matches?

not served....but Guida has been giving us chocolate milk for bouts and we hand them out to the kids who come
