I've watched the first 2 seasons and most of season 3 before I completely gave up... When my friend asked me how I was enjoying the series and I replied "Meh.", after he freaked out for like 4 days, he said it would be best to just stop watching, cause if I wasn't blown away by the show 3 seasons in, chances are I'd never "love" the show.

I would've told you to finish season 3, but he's probably right. If you weren't into it by then, you probably wouldn't ever be. Season 4 was the best so far thought, with brilliant acting performances by many.

So my birthday was pretty ok. Can't complain, I'm alive and relatively healthy and thats what matters.
 
See, that's the thing, I don't hate the show or anything. I just don't think it's as good as everyone makes it out to be. I just can't sympathize with any of the characters, save for Jesse. I can't seem to find it in me to care at all about the White family or any of the crap going on with them.

I tried, believe me, I tried. I didn't want to be one of the people who didn't watch this or hell, someone who hated it. Simply because I didn't want to have to explain why I did or didn't enjoy the show. It would be so much easier for me to drink the kool-aid and say how amazing every facet of the show is, but I just... I just couldn't.

To be honest, I can't stand the White family either. And by the end of the last season, I'm pretty sure you're supposed to hate Walt. But to me it doesn't change the great writing and acting in the show, and that's what I love so much.
 
I still need to see the 4th season, anyway to see it legally?

Nope not yet but I went and found other means to watch the 4th season. I caught up just in time to watch the season finale on my beautiful HDTV.

Haha. I'm not trying to attack it. That's just how I feel about the show.

I don't care if you think Mad Men is overrated, especially after you said it was good. I didn't think you'd care if I felt the same way about Lost, even though I know you love it.

I've said it before in the Lost thread a while back, had I found the ending to be better, I would have considered it great. As it is, I think it got dropped down to good. To each their own, amirite?
