I thought he replaced his missing hand with a hand made from water powers like Mera's. I guess i was wrong.

Agreed about the gold bands.

That hand came from the lady of the f**king Lake, and it did a hell of lot more than give him water powers. Alas, they never got the chance to go into exactly what it could do. All we know for sure that it could heal, dispel magicks, and completely ditched that whole drying out boos**t.

And it was a very cool look for Arthur too, being the Waterbearer and all that, drawing thin but not exact parallels between him and King Arthur of Camelot. I was surprised that it didn't last longer

Oh, and I'm blowing wads of cash in Tekken Tag 2 at my local arcade. Better than hookers!

So, anybody see that new Zombie or whatever game they got coming out with whats her face from Inception?

Juno.

I think it's called The Last Ones or something. I mean, it's clearly her, voice, look. Fighting fast......I don't know, zombies that look like that Crab dude from Pirates of the Caribbeans.

Sooner or later the classic superheroic style of Lee or Finch gets boring and you come to appreciate weird styles, especially when they fit the story. I think Nguyen fits Batman. Quitely fit B&R. Burnham would too, but i wouldnt want him on something like JL or Detective Comics.

But if they re not your cup of tea anyway, you should check out Chiang and Frazer Irving. They are among my favourites.

When I think "classic, superheroic" art, I don't think of stuff with a ton of lines that try to be details.

This is classic superheroic art.

With Lee, it's classic 90's art.

Style over substance.

The Last of Us and it's not her and they even claim she wasn't the inspiration for the character which is total B.S.

Did you guys really take my post seriously?

It's the hedgehog avy, isn't it?

Hedgehogs are serious business.

Hating on Jim Lee's art is such old hat. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with it except for the over abundance of cross hatching.

Agreed. If I had to pick a very 90's style artist to like, it would be Jim Lee.

Aquaman has stupid, pointy, dishwashing gloves. :o

They're useful for when he does do dishes.

To the Lee-haters, what do you think of Ryan Ottley's art?

:wow: That perspective... amazing.

But I like Lee...

I like Finch too, who's another guy who's cross hatching pisses people off (which I don't even really see as a negative... I can buy the screw-face criticism with him though...)

Really? Cuz Batman looks bland and Aquaman has stupid, pointy, dishwashing gloves. :o
see below

Batman is pretty much the same, without underpants and with some seams. Its weird but Lee's seams are actually better than the ones on the Inc suit. I like that they are thin and recessive rather than fat and protruding. It makes the suit look high tech and cool imho.

Aquaman is classic and you can never go wrong with classic.

To the Lee-haters, what do you think of Ryan Ottley's art?
i like it pretty well.

my favorites right now are chris samnee, cliff chiang, and francis manapul

They protect us from mad scientists and their robots

With the help of helpful sea creatures

Like Snow White but underwater

Ellen Page fighting crab zombies

I'mma play the hell out of that game

Tekken is fun on a bun its true

It has a battling panda :atp:

i have a crush on ellen page, it was a little deterred after watching super, but she is too impossibly cute to not have a crush on

She looks cute from certain angles.......that said sex with her would be dangerous. She might accidentally stab you with one of her jutting bones. Chick needs a sammich or twenty. :o

I heard a rumour that she's going to be in The Dark Knight Rises :awesome:

Looks like her, sounds like her. Eh.

It's actually based on another actress (can't remember if she's a film/tv actress or voice actress only) who just happens to look and sound a lot like Page. It's odd, but someone posted about it in the thread about it in the game boards.

Anyway, couple of things from me:

Been watching Secret Agent, aka Danger Man recently. And I have concluded that Patrick McGoohan is just the coolest mofo ever. I liked him a lot in The Prisoner too. He just commands everything on screen it feels like. Even though Secret Agent really isn't much of anything like James Bond (at least the films), it would have been interesting if he took the role like originally offered. But then again, his career would probably have been very different, and we wouldn't have gotten The Prisoner, which is infinitely better than any Bond movie.

Got both the second and third season of Adventure Time. I was kind of taken aback by how dark the second season was. The first had its moments and all, but wow, I just didn't expect some of this stuff. It was still fun as hell, just took me by surprise. The third season feels just totally off the wall, but in fairness, I've only watched a handful of the episodes from it, and I was stoned to high heaven. I did really hate that they [blackout]turned Princess Bubblegum back into an adult so fast, though. I get that AT is all about a "bro-mance" between Jake and Finn, but man, I was really looking forward to seeing the occasional romantic adventure between Finn and lil' Bubblegum.[/blackout]

Anywho, anyone thinking ahead to New Year's? I didn't get to do anything due to a family situation, so I'm hoping to go a little off the chain this year.

I loves Adventure Time :atp:

Though I ship Bubblegum with Marceline personally rather than with Finn

Also I wish I had a talking dog. Talking puppies are the best :)

At the moment the girlfriend and me are planning to go out partying for new years with a few friends. We're planning to start at the Candy Bar the bestest lesbian bar/club in london and then see where the night takes us after that  Should be a pretty amazing night
