Well I mostly use my laptop to be on here talking **** and watch an occasional cat video.

True. But imagine getting into yet another thread battle with Bum and having to type out your responses on touchscreen? I'd feel...i dunno. Impaired?

I just feel that a smartphone has already taken up the role a tablet intends to fill.

Yeah, when I was a kid, Leo seemed pretty cool too until you grow older and realize what a badass Raph is.

And Casey Jones. Casey Jones is pretty badass too.

Casey was amazing

Loved him in the live action movies as well and in the animated series :hrt:

So I've been talking about this for a while but I'm honestly just torn. With all these new fangled tablets out there I want one bad, but do I need one? Not really. It would be just something cool to have I think. Plus, for the same price I can probably get a new, much better laptop. Who knows.

Well you dont need one but if you really want one and have the money for one go for it :)

Thats very true.

I'm waiting for the day we get a monolith sized tablet.

I'm not advertising, but Samsung does have a new product out, the Galaxy Note. It's somewhat bigger than the average Smartphone but smaller than a tablet. Here's the site:

Samsung is quite reliable. Thing is, if your an apps addict, the Android OS might not appeal to you cause, let's face it, Apple has the biggest piece of the Smartphone pie right now and most apps being made is probably going to be on the iPhone/iPad first.

Samsung is really trying to break through the tablet market but they're flooding it with too many products. This is a 5 inch tablet essentially. They have the Galaxy Tab 7, 8.9 and 10.1 tablets.

Well yeah, they don't want to be shown up by Apple again since they more or less lost the Smartphone wars.

I trust Samsung. My current HDTV is Samsung, going on 2 years with no problems thus far. My fridge is Samsung. Again, no problem for the past 9 years.

Of course, phones and tablets are a completely different ball game. I don't necessarily believe in the whole "electronics made in Asia" are better deal but Samsung does have a pretty decent rep all things considered. And the price points for most of their products are competitive.

That's the problem with android in general. They have so many different phones, but they don't push some of the better ones. Nexus and galaxy phones seems to be doing well, but HTC (which I do admit I have the inspire, great phone) needs to stop with the names b******t and choose a name to build a brand around. So does Nokia.

But if you want me to be truly honest, Android won't be able to compete with Apple unless they have at least one phone brand they can count on for all phone providers.

I want a tablet because I have a 17" laptop that I don't want to carry around a lot, especially since a tablet usually have better battery and I can do simpler things on the run with a tablet than a laptop that I'd rather not do on a phone like takes notes in class, or watch Netflix/Hulu.

Oh and next year, we're getting Windows 8 tablets.

I'm a huge Android guy. But these companies are just saturating the market so hard. It's iPhone vs everything else and iPad versus everything else. Sometimes too many options is a bad thing.

Wrong! Leo only makes more sense as the favorite as you age and realize how shallow raph is

tablets are just a placeholder technology until phones are powerful enough to replace laptops. Smart watches, that's the new hotness

That's also true. Here's my two cents, which could be entirely BS on my part.

Apple did not just help usher in a new era of phone, they essentially put a fullstop on what the said phone should do and dictated what it can do in the near future.

It also did not make the mistake of making too many different models of the same item. You have the said iPhone of this generation, and then the different memory sizes. And that's it.

To say nothing of the fact that they marketed it as a must-have accessory for the new generation of consumers instead of just a phone with a couple of gimmicks made it the default phone of choice for even the most layman of smartphone buyers.

Other companies like Samsung or HTC go about it in the same manner as they do with computers or other phones. Essentially a smartphone for different types of customers. Businessmen, housewives, schoolkids...smartphones with different levels of accessories/applications for different price points. Its not "bad marketing" it just...not very compliant to the current market already shaped by Apple's "one-size-will-fit-all" type product.

:raph: Raph is not shallow. He just has anger issues. And when you have an over-achiever, ass-kissing older brother who naturally assumes the position of "leader", I'd say he has the right to be angry. :raph:

I hate easy it is to accidentally unsubscribe to thread on my phone

You say angry, I say lacking in depth of character

In that regard how is Leo a more "in-depth" character aside from the fact he pretty much gets the most face time of ALL the Turtles? I mean he gets singled out by the Shredder, he has a rivalry with Kirai (going on the previosu TV series), he has a cool rivalry with Miyamoto Usagi (better known as Usagi Yojimbo) and all kinds of tidbits.

Its like everyone forgets Mikey is essentially the greatest fighter in all realities. Battle Nexus Champion and all.

How is Leo's character deeper other than the list of character enriching things you just mentioned? I dunno, you did a pretty good job of answering that one :p

But yeah, Mikey and don have interesting character traits, raph just gets angry and fights stuff. He's a lot like wolverine or the hulk, but inherently better than both due to his relation to the other interesting turtles

I like it, but wouldn't Frozone be after Windu, seeing how Windu was willing to strike an unarmed Palpatine in anger, willingly ignoring the sensible advice from Anakin (bought the only time he was, too).
Only time Frozone really got mad was with his wife, and that scene was hilarious.

I'm not bashing Apple as I have myself have Apple products but some of those Apple heads think Apple is way more innovative than it is.

I know people who think Apple invented the MP3 player, tablet computer and Smart Phones rather than popularizing them which shows what great marketing company Apple is.

Samuel L.Jackson in Deep Blue Sea would be Zen as he was really calm when everyone else lost their heads.

Samuel L.Jackson in A Time To Kill Would be furious "Yes they deserve to die and i hope they burn in hell"

Raph's more than just anger. He's the one who loves his family the most. He just has a hard time sharing that love which is why he confides in a fellow brutal vigilante in the form of Casey Jones.

Indeed he has a good heart underneath all that anger he is just not the best at showing it

Well I mostly use my laptop to be on here talking **** and watch an occasional cat video.

Cat videos help cheer me up when I'm feeling down

Have you seen the one of the cat giving her kitten a hug

So cute :atp:
