Thats very true.

I'm waiting for the day we get a monolith sized tablet.

You're going to steal chimps from zoos to recreate the bit from 2001: A Space Odyssey with it aren't you :ninja:

I like it, but wouldn't Frozone be after Windu, seeing how Windu was willing to strike an unarmed Palpatine in anger, willingly ignoring the sensible advice from Anakin (bought the only time he was, too).

Was Palpatine technically unarmed though

He did have those freaky lightning powers

Yes, the Emperor deserved to die, I hope he burns in hell!

I would probably give them the milk

Those cats look like they mean business

Attack the Block - Review
Directorial debut for Joe Cornish who also wrote the story for the movie, well I can say this movie was an unexpected surprise!

The film stars a group of teen gangsters led by Moses (played by John Boyega) threatening people with knives and demanding their valuables and whatnot, the basic premise here is that these unlikeable bastards become actually likeable characters in mere 10 minutes, when **** hits the fan and Aliens start popping out in South London, attacking the very street these youngsters, drug heads and others live in, with the police getting to the mix, it’s almost like an Turf war movie.

All the main characters are teenagers and usually finding child/teenager actors is really difficult, but Joe Cornish managed to muster himself a very great group of teenagers who make the team dynamic great fun to watch, I mean these are little nasty teenage pricks, but it’s that utter ruthlessness, their arrogance and “thug life!” attitude that makes their messed up adventure so entertaining to watch, and the character Moses not only kicks ass during the action scenes, he gets a nice personal story during the course of the movie.

The original score by Steven Price, Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe give a great original soundtrack with a mix of techno and orchestrated music, giving a great vibe to the whole “street gangsta” madness that’s going around as the Aliens descend upon the streets.

What the movie did right when it comes to the Aliens in my opinion is that they kept the design very simple. They’re dark gorilla sized monsters, you don’t really see any details because their fur is pitch black, but you do see their teeth very detailed, and that’s what makes the simple design work: It shows the very scary mouth part, while not trying to be overdesigned with monster tentacles or diseased looking skin, it keeps it simple.

Overall I can highly recommend this movie to everyone, it’s just pure flat out crazy fun, it’s Aliens attacking London! Teenagers beating the **** out of aliens while getting drug rings and the cops all mixed up to this mess, the cinematography is good, the pacing is perfect, the music really adds up to all scenes and the characters are *****ebags that you can’t help but to root for.

Easily one of the funniest comedies of the year.

Dragon Age is one of my favourite video games so I will definitely be watching this

i have a copy, i still haven't watched it

It's really good Lix I hope that you dig it when you do watch it

It looks pretty damn crappy. I am disappointed.

What cell phone carrier are you guys all on? I'm on T-Mobile and my contract runs up soon so I'm weighing my options to renew or move somewhere else.

I'll be checking it out

It might be a lot better than it looks

Who are you thinking about going with Darth

Probably Verizon because AT&T can go choke on one and Sprint seems to be more expensive.

AT&T and I'm Grandfathered into my Unlimited Data plan. So AT&T rocks for me.

I have alleh. It's. Not horrible, 50 a month for unlimited data and more min and txt than I ever use.

Your avatar is so adorable twylight! Pinkie Pie ftw!

Thanks :) The SHH Award 'avatars' are so ugly. :o I refused to wear it, and had Kane make me a cute adorable one. :atp: because I'm allowed to be a female dammit!

So I've been talking about this for a while but I'm honestly just torn. With all these new fangled tablets out there I want one bad, but do I need one? Not really. It would be just something cool to have I think. Plus, for the same price I can probably get a new, much better laptop. Who knows.

I'm in the same boat.

I started out looking for a small e-reader so I could read easily at the gym. I've shifted over to digital comics almost exclusively so that would be handy. Then I got greedy with grand plans of skyping from a tablet, and all my interneting from one too... so now I'm looking for a cute, inexpensive, little 7 inch tablet. :csad:

Verizon. Been with them for 10 years since they're the only one with reception (barely) where I live. [Read: middle of nowhere]

My favorite thing when stopped in the mall by the other companies is to tell them that they don't have reception where I live. They do the whole 'OH NO, we have coverage everywhere, we just got a new tower etc etc', so I have them pull up a map and show them where I live. Seeing their faces slowly fall as they see the dead zone I live in is priceless.

so i'm making my way through breaking bad, just started season 2, and i'm not sure if i get the cult. the story is good, the acting is GREAT, but i haven't latched on to any of the characters on account of them all being insufferable *****. skylar esspecially is such a self righteous ***** that she makes me want to skip through every scene she's in.

Season 2 is my favorite season, the show only gets better and better. I can't find an episode I didn't like or thought it was boring.

50/50 Review
50_50_Poster.jpg

Right off the bat i will say that i am a fan of Seth Rogen’s acting, his sense of humor and in general how his comedies are, so there will probably be some form of an bias here, so i wanted to immediately start this post with letting that detail out.

The movie is based off Will Reiser’s personal experience with cancer, Will being the personal close friend of Seth Rogen who has written plenty of screenplays for his movies and wrote the screenplay for this movie as well, it doesn’t have himself and Rogen as their real life counterparts, but rather smalltime radio worker.

Joseph-Gordon Levitt stars as Adam Lerner, who is Will Reiser more or less and Seth Rogen plays as his good friend Kyle, the two of them work on a radio station, Adam’s the shy honest good man who doesn’t have a car license because he’s afraid of getting killed during driving while Kyle’s the pot headed I wanna nail some girls goofy guy, so yeah Seth Rogen is playing himself, but what is probably want his wants wanted to see anyhow, right?

The news on the cancer hit at the very start of the movie and this movie is pretty much the process of trying to heal yourself and make sure you can personally get thru this kind of an experience, as the movie title states, Adam has about 50% chances of surviving. You see his overly worried mother (Anjelica Huston) who also has to take care of her Alzheimer’s suffering husband Richard Lesner (Serge Houde) while having difficulties with his current girlfriend Rachel (Bryce Hallas Howard) while going to different club parties with his buddy boy Kyle and using the advantage of his cancer to get Kyle laid.

Adam also visits his psychiatrist McKay (Anna Kendrick) going thru the daily process, how to express your emotions, how to deal with your life right now, how to co-operate and so forth. They become good friends during the progress of the movie and practically help each other out from time to time.

It’s hard to further talk about the movie without spilling all the details, as there are some pretty hilarious supporting characters that Adam gets to meet alongside how the movie ends, I will say the surgery process is very heart touching and this random woman next to me even cried, and why shouldn’t she? The movie gives us all the reason to care about the protagonists and the people around him, my favorite scene has to be when Adam finds out Kyle has been reading a book that deals about friends having cancer, and that was incredibly up lifting to see how much he truly cared for his best buddy, that he’d read a book to get some notes and advices, this whole movie is one big journey of the Lerner family and their friends.

With that said, I warmly recommend this drama comedy to everyone, it’s touching and warmly up lifting movie based.

Yeah, the way I see it I would get a lot of use out of it. For simple things like browsing the web, watching videos, listening to music, reading book and comics. I'd love to start continue buying comics in a digital format.:o

The reason I'm considering Verizon is because I think they have the best phones. The new Droid RAZR looks amazing and their Droid line is one the best. Plus if I decided to turn back on everything I believe in they have the iPhone. What are their plans like price wise? I was doing some research the other day and it seemed I would be paying about $70-80 before taxes and fees.

At T-Mobile right now, I'm on a family plan with my mom of all people and you really can't beat the $49.99 for two lines each unlimited plan they have now but their phone selection is subpar.

I'm watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen right now

My sanity may not survive

Thanks :) The SHH Award 'avatars' are so ugly. :o I refused to wear it, and had Kane make me a cute adorable one. :atp: because I'm allowed to be a female dammit!

It's the adorable-est avatar :atp:

Pinkie Pie is one of my favourite ponies and I think she suits you :)

I'm thinking of making Rainbow Dash my next avatar

Yeah, Skylar is a ****. She only gets worse as the series goes on too. BUT the show gets better every season, IMO. Seasons 3 and 4 are amazing. Plus, a few characters either don't get introduced until then or become much more likable during that time.
