She might be one of those hot chicks that are into chubby dudes who get into some comedic situation week after week on CBS.

Have any of you guys watched that United States of Tara show? They just put it on Netflix and I'm thinking about checking it out.

I've not heard about this what's the show about Charlie Boy

I liked it. It was freaky.

Also, Patton Oswalt nailing a pregnant chick on a washing machine......yeah....take that mental picture with you for all eternity.

It was this show on Showtime about this chick with Multiple personalty disorder and her family.

You'd like it. She had a bisexual son who loved to bake.

Patton Oswalt's in it? Cool. I just bought his book last week... It's alright so far. Whole chapter about D&D if you're into that sorta thing.

I wanna see that new movie he got out. Young Adult.

Oh and I saw Sherlock Holmes and Mission Impossible

Pretty good. That forest escape scene in SH was effin awesome.

Patton Oswalt?

Nerds. :o

You know, you are seriously earning a GAH rep around these parts.

Is that "Gigantic ***hole"?

Because if so................. I'm actually pretty alright with that. :o

No, but, actually, that might be a great secondary definition.

GAH was a poster that used to post here who was known for having terrible opinions. So much so that if GAH didn't like it, you could pretty much guarantee that it's awesome.

The GAH seal of approval.....the GIANT A**HOLE Seal of approval......not bad. :o

Oh, BS, I like plenty of good things. The Oswalt bit was just sarcasm.

Now, you take back what you said. I'm an ***hole and you damn well better acknowledge it! :cmad:

yeah, now that drz isn't in here talking about ultimate comics anymore i need someone else's opinions to hate.

i hope i can go see sherlock holmes on base t/m. it's actually 50c more expensive than the off base theater for month late movies, but there are no subtitles and there's never much of a crowd

I don't know about that. You're really more of a Gooch if anything.

YOU'RE A GOOCH! :cmad:

remember when arcades had games where the interface was more than just a joy stick and 3-8 standard buttons? they have that here, and it's awesome! looked like an idiot on the horse racing/jack hammer the **** out of your invisible partner game, but it was a blast.

The Racist guys who murdered Stephen Lawrence in 1993 finally going to jail!

Finally some bloody justice in this country!

Those chicks do exist, but their proportion to the general population of normal, hot-dude-liking hot chicks is so tiny that most geeks are pretty much never gonna find one.

I watched United States of Tara's first season. It was good. I like John Corben and the rest of the actors were pretty solid. Only reason I didn't keep watching is because I forgot to... acquire the second season.

that chick is probably there to advertise her modeling career/pay site.
Now that I could see.

I've seen all three of those movies. All of them were pretty good. Young Adult was pretty funny if you're as cynical and horrible a person as most of us are. I could see it failing to connect with normal people pretty hard, though, especially given its ending.

The forest scene in Sherlock Holmes was awesome, as were all of the fight plans Holmes constructs before he even makes his first move. Although, oddly enough, I think Jude Law kind of makes the whole thing work more than RDJ. If RDJ didn't have someone as good as Law to play off of, I could see the movies coming off a bit flat. Same way Martin Freeman's Watson is more compelling to me in the modern-day British Sherlock Holmes show than Cumberbatch's Holmes.

MI was just good fun. Kind of makes me want to watch all of the previous MI movies again, in fact. I thought it was funny how Abrams killed off another of his TV stars almost immediately at the beginning of this one, just like Keri Russell in MI3. Also, Paula Patton's boobs should star in their own movie.

yeah, now that drz isn't in here talking about ultimate comics anymore i need someone else's opinions to hate.
Drz just popped into another thread to belittle me for one of my numerous perfectly logical complaints about something or other.

Well, I'm obviously late to the game with this, but my Top 10 films ended up looking like this:

1. Hanna
2. Hugo
3. Source Code
4. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
5. X-Men: First Class
6. Midnight in Paris
7. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
8. Thor
9. 50/50
10. Winnie The Pooh

Never did around to watching Drive.

I really dug Drive. I couldn't stop listening to the soundtrack for weeks after I first downloaded it.

I've heard like nothing but good things about Drive. I didn't have much drive (pun intended) to see it, because I honestly thought the trailers looked pretty weak and generic. By the time I keep hearing all this astounding buzz, it has left all the local theaters.

I would probably change that list a little now, though:

1. Hanna
2. Hugo
3. Source Code
4. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
5. X-Men: First Class
6. Midnight in Paris
7. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
8. Thor
9. Another Earth
10. 50/50

There's something about it. It's hard to explain.
