Modern London slang is hilarious one of my favourites is the word 'Nang' meaning 'good'.

The funny thing is how it started though from a girl named Nang Phan from Kingsland school in Hackney, North London. It came about through boys in the school older than her chiding "ahh, Nang you're nang". It caught on like wildfire from there and some how spead across the country within a few years.

So some chicks name ended up slang for the word good for kids up and down England

'Tis cool. I had to look it up myself.

I previously thought it might have been an incorrect spelling of "Dubby"... Derived from W.C. which is the abbreviation for Water Closet which is still a term used by architects in building plans (my grandfather was a builder). But I knew enough that I was far from certain of that and so looked it up myself.
