Haha, yeah I started to tell my self that when I was sitting in the theater yawning, I think you will enjoy it man. Know how big a Thor fan you are you will be pleased I think, tell me what you think of the usage of Lady Sif when you see it though.

The only time I went to a screening that was during the middle of the night was opening day (Friday) of The Dark Knight. All shows were sold out when we got there and they made a special screening on the spot for a 12:05 am show.

Haha, I just checked Rotten Tomatoes out of curiosity. It's at 81%, which isn't bad. More importantly, though, Bob Mondello apparently liked it. That guy never likes anything. :hehe:

Sif needs more love

She was fab in the film but I hope she gets a bigger role if we get a Thor sequel

isn't it that stop motion rubbish?

plus some of the african accents sounded weak

Awwww why do you hate stop motion animation chamber music :csad:

It's understandable that Sif gets pushed aside a bit. Marvel's pushing its ludicrous pro-Jane agenda. I hope the next film has Thor figuring out how much Jane sucks and making some moves on Sif. :atp:

I thought Thor was great the best Marvel Studios movie yet. Just better than the first Iron Man.

Kat Dennings as Darcy was ok as the comic relief not as bad as everyone was at first making her out to be.

Hemsworth and Hiddleston nailed it they were both great especially Hiddleston. Idris Elba and Sir Anthony Hopkins were solid as ever.

Was impressed with Josh Dallas as Fandral as well. He nailed the swashbuckling Errol Flynn style and voice of the character.

Jamie Alexander who plays Sif reminds me of Missi Pyle from Galaxy Quest

The film was at its best for me when it was dealing with the family dynamic

I saw it opening day/night a few weeks ago, extreamly gratefull that it was a 2-D version, the 3-D made it nearly unwatchable during the darker scenes. :argh:

I'm glad the movie is doing well especially after that Guardian newspaper article a month ago trashing Kenneth Branagh which was super harsh

Yeah internationally it's already made like 120 million (film's budget is 150 million) so it just needs 40 million from US. I'm really glad a movie like this is doing well because it's a superhero fantasy, but you also gotta admit the humour can be considered really campy, but the humour ROCKS in this movie, seriously one of my favourite jokes:
I WANT TO BUY A HORSE! scene

Jane doesn't suck in the movie as much as she does in the comic books mainly because she is played by Natalie Portman who is cuter than four tens of puppies

But yeah her romance with Thor did not seem believable to me. I could see them being friends. But its Sif that Thor should be dating

Probably because some hoity toity editor is still pissy that Branagh dropped everything he was doing to do the 'crass American superhero movie'

She had a romance with Thor? It looked more like seeds of a romance to me.

Force yourself to vomit. Nobody can say no to vomit.

Awwwww don't be :csad: Corp it will be worth the wait

That be what i mean i could see them becoming close friends but I did not think there was much romantic chemistry between them

It appeared that he was more enchanted with her and she was more lusty towards him. Both can eventually bear fruit of an actual relationship later on.

I thought Jane was just crushing hardcore on Thor which was funny because he was the scientific proof of everything she studies right in front of her and she can only have googly eyes for him. Portman does a good job for her role. Darcy is in the movie for a whole like what 8 minutes? She was fine.

I thought Darcy was pretty sweet and funny :)

The whole cast did a great job in the movie I think. It be fun on a bun
