You know every ignorant moviegoer out there would be like, "This dude is just a rip-off of Rorschach from Watchmen."

Haha luckily not that many people saw the film, but those who did prolly yeah. :p

Eh, I don't even see a lot of need for the Huntress to show up. At least not initially. I wouldn't mind the more straight faced noir approach, though, especially since Question's faceless schtick works really well for the impersonal and unknown fate themes of the genre.

He would suit that kind of story really well I think

:csad:

And that's terrible

*flips through Question trades*

Nope, just a-holes.

"Drug enhance my personality"

"Yeah. But what if you're an *******?"

Bill Cosby. Never gets old.

The trailer is probably better than the Green Lantern movie is going to be. Also, is it wrong that this is the movie I'm looking forward to the most this year?

No, it's not that wrong at all. Did you see the theatrical trailer? I didn't know it was a Muppet trailer when I saw in the theater, went from epic fail to greatest win in less than 2 seconds.

:hehe:

Yeah, I remember once Kermit appear it made my week.

Green Lantern was ok but I think the one thing that will WORK for GAs eveywhere is the casting of Ryan Reynolds. I thought he was bad for the role of Hal and he is bad in the movie as Hal. He plays Ryan Reynolds and that is fun except that he isn't supposed to be Ryan Reynolds. The special effects are good but not great and they spend far too much time on Earth. I think that maybe they picked the wrong director for this because honestly we needed a Del Toro or Spielberg and I think Campbell was a bad choice. The pacing isn't very good and the film really does seem to lack direction. I will see it again because I hope that we as DC fans realize that we NEED to support this so that we get other movies like The Flash. Marvel wins this summer for sure and that's a damn ****ing shame. I had such hope that this could be good and while it's ok it's just not what GL deserved. Go see it because you all know with the failure of this we may not get more characters.

****ing ridiculous. You'd go see a ****** movie again just to support it in the hopes WB might one day possibly make another DC movie? Nah, **** that. Make a better product and I'll support.

Not enough people gave a **** about Watchmen.

The ignorant moviegoers would call it a ripoff of Sin City. :o

Agreedo.

Among other things, supporting ****** movies is more than anything else likely to beget... more ****** movies.

I mean it's possible if this GL movie does well then they'll make a terrible Flash movie, then if that does well they'll make a terrible Green Arrow movie, then if that does well they'll make a terrible Wonder Woman movie, then maybe after like, fifteen years someone will make... a Martian Manhunter movie that isn't completely buttz.

And I mean, it's one thing to hope for that to happen, and if it does, hey, I'll go see Martian Manhunter and agree that, in the end, it was more or less a win.

But I'm not spending twelve dollars on every terrible thing DC makes, thinking I'm gonna make that totally excellent Manhunter movie happen.

I'd support a crap movie if it meant the possibility of some potentially good future ones.

Id sooner put my dick in a blender then give WB money for a substandard Green Lantern movie

Sounds like it was exactly what GL deserved. :oldrazz:

Well to be fair I saw it in 3D and that ruined my first experience a little bit and my little brother wants to see it so i'll take him. Plus I said it was bad but bearable. I see what your saying I really do but I feel differently. This movie is so close but it still needs some work. I'd rather give Warner Bros a couple bucks and let them know they have my financial faith at least and let my opinion known when I can verbally and hopefully get more DC movies out of it. Also I didn't pay the first time so I'd really be buying my first ticket this second time through.

It's what Hal deserved but not a new wanna-be franchise that could be the launchpad for a DC's super hero movies.

Really you would do that? Because the movie is only like $10. How about you would sooner read Countdown again? Or is that worse?

If DC called me up and said, "look, we will make an awesome Martian Manhunter movie right now, but you have to agree to go watch our next four totally dog**** movies" then maybe I'd consider it.

But like if DC says to you, "look if you pay us forty-eight dollars to go watch our four totally dog**** movies, we may or may not make a fifth movie that is totally great! (About Martian Manhunter!!)" then you are an idiot if you think that is a deal worth taking.

Yeah but DC has made no promise and is hoping fans will show up so that they can persuade Warner Bros to give them the cash to make more films. Plus I'm not spending $48, prolly like $10 at most.

That is the long and short of it, basically. There's no guarantee watching Green Lantern is going to ensure good future DC movies are made. Hell, there's not even any guarantee that Green Lantern's tanking will definitely cut short efforts to make future DC movies. We're all just assuming that because it seems logical.
