Marvel is doing so well in the movie department it's crazy to think they still have properties floating around. F4, is Fox finally going to give it up or rush out a reboot?

I haven't heard even the vaguest whisper of a third Fan4 movie, so here's hoping that property quietly falls into Marvel Studios' hands soon.

Disney needs to unleash their hellhounds (the legal department) to go get all the film rights back from everyone

Last I heard Fox was trying to get a reboot for 2012. That obviously is not going to happen unless Fox became super efficient in the next week to a month.

Bob Iger (Disneys CEO) is very public about the desire to get all the Marvel Properties under the Disney umbrella

he has said the current deals with Paramount, LionsGate, and Fox will be honored as long as those studios hold up their end of the bargain....I really think that was a veiled threat meaning if you put out a movie with a Marvel property and it bombs, we're coming after you

Probably. I can see Disney working out deals where those studios would get distribution rights. Like Lucas does with Lucasfilm.

Disney/Marvel need to pull some corporate *****ebaggery and release an FF film based on the current comics. So what if the characters are almost all the same? They're the FF, not the Fantastic Four! :awesome:

Didn't Disney announce some animated Marvel movies? Or was I high again.

I'm sure it's part of the plan...Disney bought Marvel for a reason....they lose the male audience after about age 10.....buying Marvel basically brings that missing demographic to them

Anything's gotta be better than the trash Lionsgate has been putting out for years now.

WB agrees, but they interpret that as meaning "darker = better." So clearly the suits over there are just ******ed.

You know who I bet would direct an incredibly successful Superman movie? Is Ron Howard.

Or like... Robert Zemeckis.

And some drugs.

The super soldier serum proves that drugs are the answer :awesome:

same here....I really want it to do well because Ive always loved the story of Steve Rogers and I think he should be the character kids running around in the yard/street pretending to be

all you need is a trash can

He is one of my favouritest Marvel characters. And the film looks like its going to be a great adaptation of the comic books

Captain America fighting nazis and saving the world. The film is definitely going to be epic

I wish Spielberg would throw his hat into the comic book making ring.

Spielberg hasn't had to work in close to 20 years now.....he would actually have to put some effort into it and he's pretty much above all that at this point

I'm wary of Spielberg because he might end up trying to cast like... Robin Williams as Superman.

Come to that, nowadays Zemeckis would try to make the whole thing in his OMGUNCANNYVALLEY CG.

Captain America, man I have a lot of emotional investment into that movie.

Agreed I am going to be really :csad: if its not a good movie. The character means a lot to me and I want his big screen adventures to be good

The last Indiana Jones movies wasn't that bad...

I mean, my dream was for Spielberg to do a Captain America movie.

I never understood the hate for the Crystal Skull. I thought it was awesome. Inter-dimensional aliens too much for you? You feel more comfortable with biblical boos**t? GTF outta heres! :argh:

The only thing I hated about Crystal Skull was the ****ing utterly ridiculous Shia Labeef swinging with monkeys scene. That left no doubt Lucas had his mitts on the script.

I thought it was ok....but it's not like it was all that hard for Spielberg to be a producer...if he was to do a comic book movie, he'd have to get his ass back in a directors chair, probably do some writing on the script as well, and go back to the grind of it all....which he really doesn't have to do anymore

agreed...I liked it just fine....Harrison looks to be in awesome shape....if Im in half that shape at that age, Ill be happy

He would do it if the right project came along. I know he's said in the past he's into comic books but who knows what would be his ideal project.

Religious fantasy > sci fi. :o :o :o

In regards to GL bombing, Darth is probably right that it won't, but there's definitely potential for it to under perform at the BO. I read something about a week ago about how it's overbudget and was behind schedule for quite some, several estimates are putting the budget at something like $300 million. So, yeah, it'll probably manage to break even, but it's going to have to pull in a lot to be considered a success.

I remember Corp calling me after he saw Crystal Skull and he was like "Damn Darth (He calls me Darth in real life as a sign of respect) Shia Labeef was amazing in this movie. You should have seen him swinging with some monkeys. That boy can act. I hope they make more movies with him, he was awesome as a greaser!"
