Until following the success of DC's reboot, Marvel follows suit and and Ben Grim is now an African American Hairdresser from Hoboken,NJ. :o

Oh, by the way, 'Nubs. I ended up starting Powers. Good stuff. Just finished the third trade of it, the one with the Warren Ellis team-up, or whatever you want to call it. I think if the quality keeps up it may be my favorite thing from Bendis.

Yeah, it is pretty awesome. Best stuff I've seen from him.

Yeah, my favorite from him before was Alias, but I'm pretty sure I've been enjoying this a little more. I really like Scarlet, too, but that hasn't had a lot of time to develop.

It's about a girl who gets messed up by this crooked cop, and she becomes kind of this pseudo-vigilante against corruption in hired officials. A generic premise, admittedly, but she kind of becomes this Che-ish figure for a lot of people for protesting corruption and such. Lots of potential, but it's bi-monthly and looks to be on hiatus, so not much development to it, yet. Oh, and the main character breaks the fourth wall and talks to the reader a lot, which a lot of people don't like, but I think it works in its own way.

Codename wa Serra Bi, you changed your name back to Tron Bonne?

I think I'm gonna go digging through my comics for some of that awesome stuff I haven't read in ages. Like some of that Brian Wood Stuff. DMZ and Local. Demo and Northlanders. Are DMZ and Northlanders still coming out? I haven't really gotten any comics in years. :(

It also has one of my favorite page spreads of all time (There's actually a lot more to this, but I can't find it all).

Yeah, I think people liked that better. And it just looked kind of awkward since the V bled over into the second line when I posted. Don't let it be said it was because of my lack of love for Sailor V, though. I will always love my Sailor V.

Both are, but Northlanders got canceled and is ending soon. DMZ is ending to in about 6-7 months, but not via cancellation, just Wood deciding to end it.

I don't know, not really read them to tell you the truth. I just keep my ear to the ground with Vertigo news.

Personally I think DMZ has been as good as ever, and it's building up to what could be a great ending. Northlanders tho......

I am

I loves the Muppets movies and always have and i think the new one looks like it will be really fun

I :hrt: the Muppets so much
I can do a fairly decent Kermit impersonation. I think I sing more on key as Kermit than I do with my own voice,

Pfft, all you gotta do is Ray Romano, and everybody can do a Ray Romano. :o

looks like GL had an underwhelming weekend...estimated 53-55 million opening

that does not bode well....now the suits will think "oh the fans just want Batman or Superman because no other DC hero is worth it"

As much as i want to see other DC films besides Batman and Superman... terrible films deserve to bomb. GL is a terrible film.

And besides, if GL is successful and it does open the door for other DC movies, who is to say they'd be any better than GL?

I'd still think that any resulting films wouldn't be obliged to follow GL's "formula", besides most of GL's problems are script based more than anything, so I wouldn't expect other projects to have the same issues.

it won't be....if it only opens this weekend with 53-55 million, its going to drop like a rock next weekend, and then Transformers is out the week after that

there will be no other projects.....kind of like how "Iron Man" was the litmus test for Marvel....if Iron Man did well, which it did, it would open the door for other project

that's what Green Lantern was....from a purely numbers perspective, you dump 220-250 mil into Green Lantern and it bombs....why would you bother with any other properties??

While that's probably true, I wouldn't completly lose all hope, we've still got a potential great superman film coming out. Perhaps if that is successful enough then Warners may reconsider.

yes...that just means MORE Superman films...that's really all....maybe a potential Superman/Batman film down the line

Well I guess Ive got more optimism, perhaps Warners are forgiving now, hell this entire relaunch is supposedly an attempt by them to finally fully utilize their comics brand. Perhaps they'll be more eager this time.

I'd so love to see Flash and Captain Marvel on film. But the way this GL fiasco is going, i really don't think we will.

GL bombing is the best thing for us fans in the long run. Because then WB can sit back, assess the situation and learn from their mistakes.

Don't worry Tron Bonne Sailor V knows

You have won her love by the daylight

Maybe the film will do better over the next few weeks and that will convince dc to make more movies about their other heroes
