Alright ladies and gentlemen. The first [and second and third and forth and fifth and sixth and seventh and eight] lounge have gone on long enough. Sometimes you want to go [again] where everyone [still] knows your username, ya' know? I figure we, the proud posters of the DC Comics boards (and some stragglers), possibly one of the tightest cliques on these forums [still] deserve the right to lounge. I mean, who else has ASSHAT? (am i [still] allowed to say that?)

Now we all [sort of] remember the catastrophe that was the Darth&Leaguer threads, and their unjust closings, and the glory that was the Original unOFFICIAL DC Boards Lounge [and unORIGINAL and unDISPUTED and unPREDICTABLE and unREAL and unDEAD and unAUTHENTIC], but we have the opportunity and right to talk [again] now about whatever is in our heads, unless it involves shoving things up a monkey's ass (or torrents), but that's neither here nor there. Also, we can't make jokes about rape, but we are free to joke about taffy and the sheds in which taffy is made all we want.

It appears we only get 1000 posts a thread now, so make them good.

Best thing if you never read one Green Lantern book in your life. Or any Silver Age mag for that matter. You don't make Superman better by deconstructing him. None of the Big 7 can benefit from that.

Hal was always a cocky test pilot straight out of the Right Stuff. Doesn't take a murder spree to make him interesting. Just takes a good writer. Something Ron Marz isn't.

Hal Jordan has never been written well then. Especially not by Johns, who is a pale shadow of his former self, over taken by fanboy urges which have blinded him to what is good writing.

Denny O'Neil wrote a great Hal Jordan.

I don't have a problem with either Hal or Barry as characters but i cannot stand how Johns writes either of them. Not at all interesting to me

Really the only Johns comic book i dig is Aquaman as the natural of Aquaman and Mera makes it readable

Looks pretty much the same as the Smallville version. A bit darker but hard to tell from the lighting and angle.

Eh, was never really all that much into Green Arrow. He's a decent option for a show, though, could probably do it pretty well on a tv budget. I'm just personally not very interested in it.

From what I've seen and heard so far the Green Arrow show looks like a slightly darker version of Smallville and I did like Smallville all that much so I'm a little meh towards it.

Wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised by the show but I'm not holding my breathe.

What I've heard about the Green Arrow show sounds very little like Smallville. I mean, the cast is in their 20's-30's and the main villain might be the hero's friend at first, but that's about it. I've heard more Jason Bourne comparisons than anything.
