the movie didn't show half of what was in the book. the movie was about the justice league, the book is about the entire dcu and the rose colored version of the 60's

Thats what i love about the Young Justice cartoon right now. It's an entire DC universe show that focuses on the teenager team. I thought the movie captured the JLA story well, but yeah i understand fans of the comic wanted more.

PS. You checking All Star Supes with the commentary? I'm very intriqued to listen to that.

:(. How about some juicy details on GL: Emerald Knights now!

- Lack of synergy betwen Conroy and Daly
- the awful joke that gets repeated feels so forced.
- Superman is a child beater
- WW would have killed the certain villain
- Darkseid shown as a mere super powered villain, NOT the incarnation of pure evil.
- Amazonians being gimps compared to people like Batman.

I only liked the GA short on that blu-ray. :( I actually enjoyed the Supergirl comic arc!

Agreed. Apocalypse is probably my favorite of the DTVs. It's got a good story, great showings from all the characters involved, and the right balance of drama, action and humor to make it work.

all false

Ye gods, Batman and Superman's My Two Dads routine with Kara comes off way creepier when you see it acted out in front of you than it did on the printed page.

Also, I hate to speak ill of the dead, but I wish they hadn't animated this in an approximation of Michael Turner's style. Everyone's all perfectly chiseled Adonises and overly tall.

Bats should have totally popped her in the mouth with those Kryptonite knucks when she smarted off

Ah, right, now I see. All these small, subjective details just make it so bad.

I like that old guy who hangs out with Bill Bixby.

Oh and Corp, I agree. I actually LOVE Turner's work on the page but in animation it seemed too "pretty".

The two lead characters not doing good voice acting is a small detail? Darkseid the main antagonist of the movie shown bad is a small detail? Superman beating up Supergirl like some child beater is a small detail to you?

She's 18 at the very least. Besides, she was actin a fool.

Actually those all fall into the "subjective" portion of my post. From what I thought, the voice acting was good, Darkseid was well represented and Superman only fought Supergirl to stop her from killing him and help her regain control.

And yeah, those are pretty small details too, just minor parts of a whole.

She's a girl with the ability to knock the Earth off it's axis. Age has little to do with it.

Besides, Superman steals hotdogs and gets little kids into trouble all the time. I saw it in a documentary called Superman.

:supes: :supes: :supes:

Also, everything about Clark's reactions to Kara for the entire movie up to that point should tell you that he's holding back so he doesn't seriously injure her. Compare it to the fight at the end with Darkseid.

It's dramatic in the comic because Superman is forced to use the kryptonite ring, in the movie he just physically beats her up.
