No,not the Smith Green Arrow villain, but the "Bam!" "Krunch!" "Kaplink!" some artists use every so often in action sequences.

Personally,I find them rather distracting,no offence to the old schoolers. If the artist has done their job as a storyteller, then I don't need a big ass caption explaining the sound a gun makes or the sound of bones crunching.

I was just wondering what people thought about it,whether they prefer it or not.

You mean like this?

They're so...so...PSYCHADELLIC! So yeah, I agree with Darthphere.

You don't even see interesting ones anymore. Lighting is all "KRAKAKOOOM" and explosions are all "BOOOM" and then there's "RRRRUMMMBLLE" and of course some character-specific ones, "THWIP" and "SNIKT" and "BAMF."

I'm a fan of "Sckrisch" and "FWOOSH!!!" myself. Just imagine a world where that's what really happened? You could see sound...SWEEET!

comics would not be comics without it..

I was going to say the same thing. I will add that it helps if they are creative with it and say more than just "POW!" all the time.

Not true, I've seen some actual weird ones lately.

They had a pretty good bit in Cable/Deadpool recently where DP was commenting on how crappy the sound effects were while fighting. I'd scan it, but, I don't feel like it.

Superman makes it all worth while. Gads, I love Zod, but can't sit through a Superman comic. What issue is that?

You're probably just reading the wrong comic. Try Superman: Secret Identity.

My favorite is "SKDANG", it was in an issue of The Losers.

Alright, I'll listen, but only because you're Anubis.

Wait, you like Aquaman though...hahaha

Damn straight. So get to reading fig nuts!
