One episode had Rodimus, Acree and Ultra Magnus had their minds switched into human bodies. I thought this would be an amazing episode but it sucked so so so so much and it could have made it so much better.

It was a silly episode....but it did have Cobra Commander in it which made it awesome to a 10 year old Anti-Moderator. COOOOOBBBRRRRAAAAA!!!!!!

After watching the movie again, does anyone else agree that all the shots of Brawl weren't rendered all well as all the other bots in the movie? I mean that the shots of him in the movie didn't look as realistic as the rest of the TF's, almost as if he was added in at the last minute or something...

Holy crap I didn't know Cobra was in it. I must have been pissed off I was not even concentrating on it.

I've watched twice now ( premiered here on wednesday ) and gotta tell ya what a movie .

May not be the Best Transformers movie , that's good leave it to the sequels , but it's easily MB's best movie , it's a extraordinary movie , it does got soul and heart I can tell ya

Here are the Hits :

- Great Intro , Opening Scene couldn't be better , not only Blackout's " party" is a hell of a scene , but to introduce the movie with it , is just like beginning a rock show
- The Sound of the whole movie , big thumbs up for it , great songs fitting , great sounds that improve the scenes
- Autobots , all their scenes are great , It's just beautiful their arrival
- Optimus is just Prime ; IronHide is Badass ; Ratchet was as great as the cartoon ; And Jazz was one brave fella
- Bumblebee with his radio scenes
- Shia is really great , unlike what some said Megan CAN act , and also that Blonde Lady

And pretty much everything good people said bout it

Misses :

- Starscream deserved much more time , his 1st appearance being only in the beginning of final battle ...........
- Individual battles : Meg X Prime , BB x Brawl .... would be better
- Megatron's end , not still quite sure what happened

Still I rate it as 9.25

whether or not gmc "donated" the cars or not, there is still a marketing agreement between the movie studio and the car company. they are banking on this movie to boost sales. why would they bank on this movie if there werent a gratuitous link between there cars and the movie? they know going n what they're getting. and point blank, chevy is releasing that car. its not a "concept car" at all. it'll be in your dealership probably middle of next year. pretty good hype machine, just in time for the dvd....

never argued the link..or the profit to be made by it...
-why do "ppl" treat this like its some sort of car commercial? because gm gave them cars and the cars look good with close ups and what not?

Russell Crowe looks great in Gladiator..and his music CD sales will no doubt get a boost from it...why is that not a problem?

cause they didn't have that great sun kissed lighting?

there was just no point for bumblebee to change period.

sure there is, all the characters are powerful sleek and clean...up to date and up to par for all the action they'll have to do...

BB would have no doubt started off in his current form...(and i have no doubt that if that would have happened no one would be the wiser) but again...he had to be sold for less than $4000 at a used car lot...i don't see sam buying a 2009 camero at a used car lot for $4000
it's a plot device, however simple...it's functional and has meaning

again with the superman thing. they are selling the same thing here. you are selling a superman movie. if that links up with book sales, backpacks, tshirts and all other merchandised crap related to SUPERMAN thats one thing. but a superman movie with a fruit of the loom cape would be another. clothes have logos on them. it'd be realistic right? why not have a jumble of fruit on the back of supes cape? oh, because it's ******edum, what if clark was wearing underwear and it said fruit of the loom?...cause u know underwear and not supermans cape does have logos on them(if ur gonna use analogies...make them fair)...Heres a question DO U SEE A GMC LOGO ANYWHERE ON A TRANSFORMED OPTIMUS?...no but when he's a car in disguise.... you know what you're buying when you go to a SUPERMAN movie. you're buying him. i didnt buy a gmc catalogue.no u just went into a movie that featured real cars

so ur telling me ur problem is with being sold something u "never agreed to buy?"

DC banks in on Superman...the movie comes out with all it's close ups and logos..and dc sells books
but that's ok

TF has cars in it...cars that when shot from the front have brand names on them...but because u aren't interested in cars...or rather, never knew cars that a car company would hope to profit from this...it's irks u?

honest question, but don't all movies have to strike a deal with some car company before they feature their cars?(like video games)

if there were height differences then it i didnt see any (aside from jazz). then that becomes a directing problem. i didnt see any scale relationships to make me think otherwise. you say they are realistic designs, i say they are poor attempts. look at star scream and megatron, and that solidifies everything ive been saying. there is no guide to your eye. where am i looking? you tell me where you're eye goes. it took me some focus to tell what the hell i was looking at. and they are stills! multiply that when they move.[/QUOTE]

megatron is in his protoform...he could look like a box for all i care and he's be above critiquing because it serves the plot

star scream looked like a walking bird like F22...with all the appropriate lack of colour
DSC06307.jpg

if my eye isn't directed anywhere in particular...it at least appretiates the gestures it's capable of achieving...especially with those bird legs
492924297_06884569a5.jpg

not sure how u didn't see them...but if direction comes into play..
the mere fact that most of the match ups were against characters that looked different as hell

for example
optimusversusmegatrontrpg0.jpg

note the hands

note the clourful "good guys" and non colourful "bad guys"

bumblebeeversusbarricadpq6.jpg

height match ups

DSC06272.jpg

which actually relate, by some unseen miracle, to the mass of their vehicle modes...

I agree with a lot of this. I would have liked more individual battles and more decepticon development.

I feel as if Bay only touched on some things for example Megatron and Starscreams banter because he was expecting to have more in the sequel. I wasn't let down by anything in the movie. I left happy but knowing there is so much more things that will be the sequel that will make it more exciting then the first.

It looks like Starscream will be returning with more Decepticons. I have a feeling Starscream will get a lot more screen time.

FINALLY saw it today at an advance screening (in England).....here's my thoughts....(I was very high while watching this, I might have different thoughts after a sobre watch...)

PROS....

1. It all looked very nice.

2. All the robots looked cool.

3. Primes blade through Bonecrusher's head was cool.

4. All the humour...I liked it , and the 'My Bad' thing wasn't that....bad.

5. Blackout scene murked it.

6. Barracaide interrogating Sam...liked his voice.

7. All the Autobots were sound, liked pretty much all their dialouge, and thier voices, although I'm glad Jazz died, the show off. Hearing Cullen in the cinema was dope as hell.

8. The final ruckus was awesome, Megatron was pure badman, Starscream was dope, Devestator/Brawl was a badman too.

9. Shia was dope, Megan wern't bad, all the supporting cast was pretty good - even Turruto made me laugh.

10. Never once was I bored, it flew by, and left the cinema wanting more....which leads me to...

CONS

1. Not enough carnage.

The Blackout scene was exciting, but I was never really scared, I wasn't that thing to terrify me with it's power - cool scene, just left me wanting more.

The Bumblebee vs Barracaide fight was massivly dissapointing - after reading the script last year that was the scene I was looking foward too the most, and we didn't even see BB lay the smackdown on Barracaide - cool scene, just left me wanting more.

The Prime vs Bonecrusher scene was far too short, it was over in about 20 seconds - I liked it, but, my god, was it short - cool scene, just left me wanting more.

Prime vs Megs...very dissapointing...like I said above, I loved the final battle when it all kicked the **** off, but I was expecting finally to see a proper 1 on 1 battle, a big one, but it was happening off screen half the time and what they showed was just Prime getting smacked about...cool fight, just left me wanting more....

2. The story...was...garbage. I knew it was gonna be from reading the script, thats why I'm not dissapointed with the movie, but...so much time spent looking for those glasses - it didnt even lead them to the allspark, or anywhere for that matter. That was found by accident, yet so much was made of the glasses in the first half of the film, and in the end they wern't even needed. Felt like a big massive waste of time.

3. Underdeveloped Decepticons...again, I knew it was coming but c'mon!

4. Some of the shot of the 'Bots during battle hid what was going on, I could't make out wtf was poppin off in some of them scenes.

5. Apart from Sam's story, the rest of the Human part of the film was totaly uninteresting.

...and that's my thoughts on it.

Liked it for what it was, left me wanting for more, the action was dope when it was happening, but I felt a little short changed by it all to be honest. Story = Poo, Autobots were cool, Humans = meh, Shia good, Special effects awesome, Bay...could've done better, but a still a good effort.

Bring on the sequel, focus on the Bot's a lot more, shoot it a little less 'Parkinsons Shakey Cam', more mythology, more carnage, an interesting story...and I'll be a happy man.

Holy crap I didn't know Cobra was in it. I must have been pissed off I was not even concentrating on it.
Yeah "Old Snake" was Cobra Commander. And EDC Marissa "Fairbourne"'s father is Captain Fairbourne aka Flint. He shows up in "The Killing Jar".

can anyone exaplain what happened to Starscream? He just vanished with the other jets attacking him... how did he escape?

Okay...FINALLY SAW THE FILM THIS MORNING :wow:

All I can say is holy s*** that was f******* awesome!!!!!!

This film was incredible, the score, the action, the characters...EVERYTHING was spot on. I loved this film immensly. The relatioship between Sam and Bumblebee was perfect... the humour never got on my nerves and some of it actually made me laugh. Now onwards.

Pros:
-Bumblebee: great character in the film, you really felt that he would die in order to protect Sam.

-Bumblebee VS Barricade: fantastic chase...one of the best set pieces.

-The opening...WOW....Prime's narration and Blackout's destruction....

-Prime, Ratchet, Ironhide and Jazz arriving to Earth and choosing Earth forms and meeting in the alley: goosebump mania...it brought me close to tears.

-Ratchet: I really wish there was more of him...possible my fave Autobot aside from Prime and BB. "The boy's pheromone levels indicate he wants to mate with the female"....Classic.

-Optimus Prime: He had justice given to him in everyway...how he took down Bonecrusher was just so damn cool.

-The last fight: WOW, loadsa crap got blown up, Starscream was nailing everything left right and centre and we got one classic Starscream/Megatron moment.

-Interpretations: Bear with me. It is my view that Starscream helped to cause the downfall of Megatron. He didn't destroy all the fighter jets even though they are chicken feed. Then he escapes....that is a classic Starscream/Megatron moment...except this time it worked in his favour.

-Starscream taking down the jets: Woah...kinetic goodness.

Cons:
-err...oh yeah the "On this day, one shall stand one shall fall": we should have been looking at Prime...oh well.

-The Prime VS MEgatron fights: okay I don't really have a problem with Prime getting owned but I do have a problem with not seeing much of the fights...still this is minor.

-Poor Jazz :(

-Sure everyone Transformer could have used more dialogue and I wish the film was on longer...it really didn't feel like it was on 2hr 20 mins.

Stuff that didn't bother me:
-the comedy...I really thought it would have but it NEVER did.

-Frenzy...I liked the little guy to tell the truth.

-The hackers....hey Andrew from Buffy was one so being a massive Buffy fan I liked them...also the feamle was pretty nice ;)

-Prime's Lips...I know I know...but I was so enamoured by the film that they didn't bother me.

Okay so all in all I loved this film THE BEST ACTION MOVIE EVER IMO. I am going to have to see a few more times. I was gossebumped all the way through and nearly brought to tears at other times.

That you Mr Bay...you have now done one film I like.

Transform and Roll out :trans:

9/10

Mid-way trough the credits you see Starscream leaving earth. Prob leaving to find more decepticons.

By question is where the **** did Barricade go to?

Barricade got killed by Prime after Prime killed Bonecrusher. Since that wasn't shown though maybe they are thinking of bringing him back in the sequel?

Has any crew member addressed why Brawl was mistakenly called Devastator in the movie? How did that error occur? I think I read he is called Devastator in the novelization but I'm not sure of the script. This seems like a really bad mistake, how did they let it slip through? Was Devastator originally supposed to be used in this film? And finally, will they correct the mistake for the DVD and switch it to Brawl? Thanks. :yay:

In the Q & A forum, I think I remember somebody said this will be revealed in the 2nd movie. So I thought they might use brawl personallity component when the constructicons combine to form devastator.

Yea, nice way for them to cover their @$$ for making that mistake, haha, j/k. That's interesting though.

The moment Optimus came flying down to earth i was having goosebumps and hair was standing on ends all over...sheesh

Yeah I know what you mean....

My favroites- The interaction and eventual friendship between Sam and Bumblebee was great.
Shia
Prime
Bumblebee
Barricade
Megatron
Starscream

Negatives

Turturro was to over the top.

Not enough of the final battle between Megatron and Prime was shown.

It would have been good to see more of the Bumblebee and Barricade fight.

When Fox was dragging Bumblebee and using him as mobile gun on the tow truck....the rock music used was a bad choice.

Small plot hole regarding barricade and his disappearance.

I didn't like the ending music....rock music doesn't do it for me anymore. I epic music.

Bay did a good job but I would like to see Spielberg take over directing duties for the sequel and chances are it will better than the first.

This film is a solid B.

So, I saw it again. ALL SORTS OF SPOILERS PEOPLE!!!

Watched a very good quality copy downloaded of the magic of the interweb round at my bredrins house on his 42inch LCD badboy...

...Special effects still blew me away, but boy oh boy did I notice how...awful the story/writing is. Some of the scenes, taken out of context, are still entertaining, but as a whole the film really dissapoints me in so many ways.

I felt no bond between BB and Sam. At all.

The relationship between Megs and Starscream - they shared, what, 4 lines between each other? "You failed me again Starscream!"!!! I fail to understand how some fans can be satisfied with that.

Most of the Autobots dialouge was cringeworthy.

The BB vs Barracaide fight...let down of the summer movie season, for me.

The 'hiding at the house' part. Are these autobots that dumb? Just park on the friggin road, ******s, you bangin about the back garden's not gonna help is it?!

John Voight. ****e.

The capture of BB. Where the **** did the rest of the Autobots **** off too when this was happening? Let Ironhide pop a few warning shots off with his cannons, or, just blow the **** outta S7 - no sacrifice, no victory, nahmean?

The glasses. Do not get me started on them.

Megs vs Prime. The greatest fight that any TF fan should have ever seen. What a dissapointment.

Brawl/Devestator. Dude had like 8 cannons, man. He sould have blown all them soldiers away in like 8 seconds. Must've been a bad shot or something.

Josh Dumalalaals or what ever he's called taking out Blackout...naaah!!!

Jazz. But watching him get tore in two made me happy.

The hacker plotline. What a wast of time.

And the whole..."If it comes to it, put the cube in my chest" bollocks. I know, why did'nt Prime, or any one else, think it could've been easier to put it one of the Decepticons chests to destroy it, or better, Megs - Two birds one stone, right? Oh, Sam figured that one out, but Prime and the other 'bots...no, they couldn't think that smart. WORST. ENDING. EVER.

I wish the BB vs Barricade and Megatron vs prime would have went on for long or have wide shots instead of close stops. One shot I love when Megs throws Prime into the building and we see him flying towards the building from inside perspective.

I didn't like the hacker plot line either.

Prime didn't want to hurt anyone, thats why he told the autobots to back off when BB was getting captured.

From Prime's bio "the only weakness he could be accused of having is being too compassionate and concerned about the safety of others. He would be a more effective military commander if he were more ruthless, but then he wouldn't be Optimus Prime."

Optimus Prime always finds another way. He wouldn't kill Megatron if he could sacrifice himself for the same ends. He just doesn't do that. It would be totally out of character for Prime to request that he or his Autobots willfully kill Megatron to destroy the cube.

Not to mention, it would be much easier to put the Allspark in Prime's chest than in Megs' chest. Sam basically got lucky, and it was quite reckless to pull the move that he did. Megs could have just as easily swiped it out of Sam's hands when he was going in for the killshot.

I agree with both SB's and FV's last posts. However, I think a better filmmaker/storyteller could have been able to communicate this a little better. Something like a quick show of Megatron taking a couple of "close call" swipes at Sam that he dodges and eventually succeeds in jamming the cube into him. It just seemed so easy- and somewhat confusing- at the end.

Ah, you see, I never thought Optimus Prime that ***** and stupid.

For me the only real problem I had was the underwhelming and anti-climatic Prime Vs Megatron battle.

But I do have some little irks:

How come Frenzy managed to be fully restored from just his head by only touching the Cube, but BumbleBee couldn't even get his legs back?

And seeing as the Cube was the reason for all Transformer life, why did it only create Decepticons on Earth?

I think the cube had somehow been tampered with by Sector Seven, somehow it got some traits from Megatron which is why all of the "creations" are Decepticons
