I've taken some time to read back through this thread, and it's really kind of depressing.
We have a moron who's best defense in an argument isn't a fact, or even the usual "ass backwards logic and lies" that you see on here so often, but incoherent nonsense about a skirt and being a "fairy queen".
It reminds me of when I was in the 2nd grade, there was this kid named Ryan, and to get under his skin, we'd all say "she" instead of "he" when referring to him, or tell him to go play with his dolls. I can't remember a single one of us doing anything like that
past the 2nd grade.
We have a moron who is proven wrong time and time again, who is owned repeatedly, who is incapable of simply bowing out gracefully and saying "you're right, I'm dumb". As a matter of fact, he can't even do the usual "disappear from the thread for a week or two" act. But what he
can do, is fill the thread with more of his mental diarrhea, more incoherent grade school nonsense.
And it only gets worse when the idiot starts ranting on about how overrated a decade old game is, by comparing it to the games of today, and yet somehow manages to evade all the posts that explain why this is stupid, repeating the same crap over and over and over again, as if he doesn't understand how someone could disagree, as if the problem is that we simply didn't understand him the first time.
And all of this, at the time, was very frustrating to me. I've never really developed the ability to tolerate people who are just incredibly stupid the way some of the other long-timers here have. Where as some of you might be able to overlook someone being an idiot and ****ing out a mediocre FPS at every chance in favor of being nice because he types the same boring, meaningless apology for being so stupid every time one of you makes an issue about it, I usually can not. So of course, seeing another person being so incredibly stupid got to me.
But after all of that stupidity, you know what the
most frustrating thing is? It's seeing this thread bumped, months later, with news of two great reviews...and people still saying that Rare is making crappy games. Their last four games have been very well received, and generally very fun...so they suck? Die WHF
Anyways, I didn't get to pick my copy up today, but I did get to play it with my friend, and it's a very well made game. It looks fantastic, better than GoW IMO (unless you put Gears on "vibrant", which looks awesome and should be what everyone is using btw), and it's actually a pretty deep game. I can see myself still playing this game and seeing new content by next month, which is pretty rare for videogames these days. The way they start you off is kind of boring, they probably should have let you use a premade garden instead of making you do everything from scratch, but after about an hour it's pretty good.
