Might be good but the trailer felt way more brief than it was. You don't really get a feel for it.

My only complaint is Tatum looks ridiculous with those ears, and imo was miscast if this trailer is an indication of his performance.

I agree that you don't get the feel or tone of the film.

To be honest, it could be a bad teaser. To answer your question, you may want to ask Universal or Disney. haha.

I gotta say I respect WB for their support of The Wachowski's. Even though I love their films, they lose money. I'm just thankful WB sticks with them.

@Octoberist They're pretty good at doing that too. :funny:

But seriously the Wachowski's haven't turned up a profit for WB since the Matrix days. Ever since then they've handed in nothing but financial duds.

bad trailer. but i see a good popcorn movie.

everyone knows that the the trailer companies can make a good trailer out of the worst movies. the question is why was this trailer so bad? not enough time or are they stupid?

They might not have a lot of good stuff to work with. That's another possibility too.

I find it to be pretty easy to spot a bad movie and this looks like one of them. This is coming from someone who loved the Matrix trilogy (all three films) and Speed Racer.

i like that the trailer doesnt tell us the main story. but if you promote a movie with a trailer without telling the basic story you need to cut the trailer around it. you need to create a build up to something. to something.
at least to the princess. build up that there is a human on the planet who is a princess on another planet. or focus on Tatum's character. something.someeething.

the biggest problem IMO is that WB is forcing actors on the Wachowskis or they are to stupid to understand that they have enough power to cast the two main actors for their movie. Kunis and Tatum being bad is not the problem. the problem is that hollywood is trying to push Tatum and Kunis to be movie stars. good for them but bad for the Wachoskis.

its so sad to see that WB was hoping that White House Down and Oz Great and Powerful would be monster hits. bad for WB and bad for us.

That's a huge assumption that WB forced them to use either of them.

i wouldnt be dark_b if i wouldnt assuuuuuuume . right ;)

Tatum with a good actors works. Kunis with a good actor works. Tatum and Kunis acting alone .....this scares me.

Is it me or did this teaser not have a big money shot? Most trailers have at least this one big shot that gets everyone talking.
But the effects are looking great though. Better than most movies. There looks to be an aerial fight in a city that looks cool. And I think I saw a winged creature fighting someone.

I watched it again. Random thoughts:

- Beautiful imagery.

-They probably should've had more scenes of Mila talking. Otherwise, it's her floating around with Channing, or screaming as she falls.

-Channing does look a little silly.

-The cabin where Sean is at reminds me of Oblivion, haha.

Just read on Huff Post that the music in the trailer is from Michael Giacchino. Is it part of his score for this or something else?

Kunis character is floating above the hospital bed. why didnt the trailer show this? i do like that there is a small alien creature in the hospital and a big alien with wings. a modern futuristic fairy tale.

This looks amazing but sheesh Channing Tatum is not a good actor. That said mila is clearly the star here :)

We'll see. I think Channing is good at playing the grunt military type; or the goof ball. I'm pretty sure his wolf-hybrid-abino man won't be a stretch for him.

he was perfect in White House Down and in 21 Jump Street. Action and looking cute is not a problem for him. he has the wet lips and eyes. the problem will be with Wachowskis detailed obvious heavy handed dialoge :)

Yeah, it was a bit generic. But that jet/mech thing looked pretty awesome. I'm trying to put my finger on it, but something really bothers me about the look they went with for Channing Tatum. He looks like he was pulled out of an 80s rock music video.
