Shane also seemed to have his own fair share of trouble with who he was with. So who really knows how long if at all these two has been together behind Rick's back ? They both were complaining about their wife's
I think Shane was just complaining about women in general. I don't think he's married. He wasn't in the comic.

Not as good as the first episode. They seem to have a lot of characters right now, I can't help but feel some will be cut down soon.

Well, of course. That's a given for any zombie fiction. People are gonna die. I was surprised everyone made it out of Atlanta okay, in fact. I thought that hispanic guy was toast for sure.

I thought "T-Dog" (awful name) was gonna die I thought the racist guy was gonna break free or something

im still wondering what he will do with that grenade

Good choice for Governor role?

I'd be more in favour of the Lori-Shane thing if it was based mostly on the need for Lori to have a man around for Carl and someone who can teach him survival.

Instead it's just a sex fest so far, not to mention the troubles they were having before Rick ended up in the coma.

yea it is....I bet he's all like "call me Rick, b*****"

I liked the scene where Rick reads out the contents of the zombie's wallet. Little things like that, yknow.

Him & Shane goes out for a man to man talk & then Rick knocks Shane out & then puts the grenade down Shane's shirt & leaves Shane with a bunch of Zombies & then boom ?

I thought that for a while, but they telegraphed it too much. There were too many super-obvious ways that he could've died. The biggest one was when he stupidly went up to actually try and free the guy who almost beat him to death, then knocked over a bucket full of sharp tools before tripping and falling over right next to the Dixon. I was so expecting Dixon to just grab a hacksaw and starting cutting T-Dog up.

Yeah, between that and the bicycle zombie in the first episode, you can see a clear subplot of Rick trying to retain his humanity forming.

lol, if only that was true

but what really happens (from the comic) is so much better

So what is up with the zombies using rocks to break the windows? They also looked like they were jogging after Rick and Glenn when they went into the construction site.

they can shamble, but if you looked in the back, the more decayed ones were just shuffling along

I think it has to do with how much mobility the body itself has....basically the more freshly dead you are, the more you can move

I'm sure they'll work it out over a few beers. :o

That situation with the key was so f'ed up. Even if he was an a-hole, I still felt pretty bad for the bastard. Why did he bother to stop and lock the door though? Was it to prevent him from getting out or to prevent the zombies from coming up?

Keeping the geeks from coming up.

Yeah, none of them are sprinting, which is all I care about. Shuffling along at the pace of a slow jog still constitutes "classic, slow zombies" to me.

They do seem to be smarter than the usual zombies, though. Between Morgan's wife using the doorknob, that one zombie figuring out how to climb a ladder, and that other zombie consistently taking a brick to the windows of the department store, these are basically the Einsteins of zombie fiction. :funny:

not if you watch Land of the Dead, they can shoot you!

:oldrazz:

Pff, just wait until Rick comes back to Atlanta and finds the zombies doing target practice with that bag of guns he dropped. :)

well I think if they are freshly dead, there are still some memories rattling around in there....which is why Morgans wife was trying to get into the house, which is why in the book
when Rick goes to Shanes grave and says his name, Shane responds and gets up from his grave

Well hopefully when they get reunited the show goes into some specifics with how long Rick was in the Hospital. I also hope that they do not make her pregnant with Shane's kid. Don't need that drama here

why not?? makes for an interesting side story

Im guessing Rick was out for about 4-6 weeks

Editor's Note: If you don't like spoilers of any kind, you should probably stop reading now.

It didn't quite have the artistry or the slow-building dread of the Frank Darabont-directed premiere episode, but Sunday night's "The Walking Dead" certainly had plenty of pulse-pounding moments.

We first got another glimpse of the camp where Rick's family is staying (and where his wife Lori has started a relationship with Shane). So far, I'm really not that interested in what happens there. It took a little too long to get back to Rick in that tank.

When we finally did, we saw a pretty ingenious escape engineered by Glenn, who had been hiding out in an abandoned store with another group of survivors. Among them was Andrea, whose sister Emma was in the other camp, and Merle, whose leadership quickly came to an end after he was revealed as a racist bully.

Glenn, however, is the fan favorite here - and for good reason, since he made smart decisions most people in a horror film don't make, like refusing to allow others to come down to the sewers behind him so as not to block his path of escape.

Since zombies had also decided to hang out in the sewers, Rick and Glenn had to make the difficult decision to chop up a zombie body in order to drape themselves with his guts, in the hopes that they would go unnoticed among the other zombies (hey, at least he was an organ donor!). If you made it this far into the show, you were committed.

Despite a rain storm - which caused them to be discovered - Rick and the others got away (except for Merle, who was left handcuffed on the store building's roof). After a momentary fear that Glenn didn't make it out, we saw him speeding down the empty interstate - going the opposite direction - in a sports car.

Here's hoping things pick up at that camp, because that's where the story seems to be headed next. What will happen when Rick reunites with his wife? Awkward.

[BLACKOUT]Well it does happen in the Comic I wonder if it will on the show ?[/BLACKOUT]

Major Spoiler, try not to be tempted.

I hope so only so they can put in the part where [BLACKOUT]Lori gets blasted with a shotgun while holding the baby. That's some shocking s**t! Would they be able to get away with it on AMC? I hope they don't leave it out.[/BLACKOUT]
