The Walking Dead has material to work with...Heroes had writers that lost their creativity skills.

Heroes was plagued with NBC problems. NBC ****ed with what they wanted to do with the show every step of the way. Numerous characters were not suppose to return for season 2 and that scared NBC, so they made them rewrite their plotline and it all went downhill from there.

AMC network is rewarding its new zombie drama "The Walking Dead" with life for a second season after just two episodes have aired.

The series premiered Halloween night as an instant hit, drawing 5.3 million viewers. The second episode, which aired Sunday, was seen by 4.7 million viewers.

Set in the Atlanta area, "The Walking Dead" stars Andrew Lincoln as a small-town police officer leading a group of survivors after a zombie apocalypse. It is based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman.

"The Walking Dead" takes its place as AMC's fourth original drama series, joining veteran dramas "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad." The fate of "Rubicon," which recently concluded its first season, remains unclear.

True. But I also think it's difficult to strike a balance between how powerful to make your heroes. They start giving them new powers in order to open up new avenues but when you give them too much they had to keep finding some way of resetting them to make things challenging again, and it just got lame.

But anyway, Heroes & The Walking Dead are apples & oranges.

not to mention the million sprint phone plugs and commercials...every two seconds

although im happy its getting a second season... its crazy to think this will last 10 seasons lol...

it will get extremely repetitive and go downhill... like Heroes.

kudos to amc for making the best show in the history of cable tv for adults

With 13 episodes a season, i dont think they have to worry about turning into a Heroes. Plus they have 78+ issues to work with. But 10seasons would be to much I think even if they could get them.

Eh. First week out, it'll probably be on sale for 19-22 bucks.

considering 2 hr movies sell for around $20 and thats anywhere from 90-120 minutes of feature time....6 episodes is the pilot which is probably about 80 minutes with no commercials plus another 5 episodes at 40 minutes a piece....so that's about 4.5 hours of feature time plus all the extra stuff....$27.99 is damn reasonable IMO

oh but I forget, a lot of you chuckleheads probably pirate 95 percent of the movies you own anyway so youve forgotten what its like to actually pay for something

30 bucks for 6 episodes is too high imo

15 - 20 bucks would be more like it

Might sell around for 20.00 first week it's out, they usually have it low before jacking up the price a week alter

BL, you're like the Saul Tigh of the hype. You just dont take **** from anyone.

Yes. I know it may be hard for some to understand...but some people do have financial difficulties at times.

understood...if you can't swing that, it happens but too say its an unreasonable price is a bit silly IMO

Correct.

It's great that the show's getting a second season, even though it was never in any real doubt.

I haven't been able to buy any DVds for a while now.

I'm glad to hear this has gotten a second season. I was just saying today since this is setting records, AMC should get off their asses to renew it.

I dont give a ****...30 bucks is still alot. I'll get that DVD from Peru for 5 bucks.

Not worried about the price, to be honest. I just want to ****ing own it and all the delicious special features.

Rumor has it they're going to have a feature to where you can watch the entire season in black and white, and it won't just be switched to black and white, it'll be done all artistic and ****.

That would be pretty awesome.
