The Walking Dead "The Walking Dead" General Stuff & Thaaaangs Thread - - Part 11

Looking at next week's promo. Did Eugene cut his mullet or put in a pony tail?

I'm more concerned now than ever before that Carol's time is coming nearer to an end.

I'm not that worried for Carol. Maggie, on the other hand, I think is going to get the big death in the finale.
Everyone is aware of Glenn's death in the comics, and the writers know this. They want to shock and surprise people, so they're probably going to give his death to someone else
Carol is so concerned over the safety of Maggie's baby, which may be some grim foreshadowing, and can the group really care for TWO babies in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?

It won't be Maggie... 100% won't be Maggie.

pretty sure she talked about filming the next season and she has the short hair for her comic look at the Hilltop.

That is why I am doubtful about Maggie's demise. The foreshadowing is an attempt to distract I think but they didn't do a very good job seeing as they all but telegraph these things.

Great ep this week, nice to have it centered on Maggie and Carol. The confined setting helped build the tension and it's interesting that Maggie is ascending to Mamma Lion survival mode while Carol has suddenly gotten a crisis of faith.

Do you watch the Talking Dead eps too HR? Melissa talked a lot about it.

If it's Carol who get Lucille'd because she wants to protect Maggie's baby, then I can't really ask for a better death for Carol, to be honest. She gets to go out as a hero and she gets the most famous death of the series.

Of course I'm biased and I want Carol to stick around forever, but it would be pretty good storytelling if Carol dies because she finally successfully protected a child. I'll be sad and I'll miss her terribly if she dies, but I can't really complain too much if this is how the writers want to play it out.

As for Maggie getting Lucille'd ... I can see that happening, too. That would probably be the most f'ed up death they could think of. The more I think about it, though, I have a feeling that the writers want Negan to be more charismatic and likable than that. If he kills Maggie, he'll be the most despised character in the show. I think the writers want us to "love to hate him" rather than just despising him, if that makes sense.

I doubt Maggie will be killed. According to Cohan:

“[Hearing] the word ‘finale’ gives me a physical reaction because it’s the hardest day on set that I’ve ever had in my life,” says Cohan. “I never even imagined that as an actor you could have that experience. It’s one of the most raw experiences that I think any of us have ever had. Andy talks about being late to work; I didn’t want to go to work that day. It took a really, really long time for everybody to feel okay again after the finale, let’s put it that way.”

The way she talks makes it sound like she's talking about someone else, not herself.

I'm wondering about Carol, honestly.

"OH, is this your mommy?" - Negan *SMASH* - Lucille

Negan's character doesn't like violence against women lol... if anything is involving Carol and Maggie... it will be Carol protecting Maggie and Negan punishing her by beating Daryl to death in front of her.

She then becomes ALPHA :o

The Walking Dead - Episode 6.14 - 6.16 (Season Finale) - Titles and Synopsis Revealed

Episode 6.14 - Cross
Heath and Tara are still out on their supply run. Instead of finding goods for Alexandria, they find trouble.
Episode 6.15 - The Calm Before
Rick's group confront a horrible situation they may not be able to overcome.
Episode 6.16 - Something to Fear
In the aftermath of a tragic blow, Eugene falls captured by Dwight, a member of the Saviors, whom are hell bent on getting even with Alexandria, Negan teaches Rick and co a brutal lesson, which shows that Rick and co finally have something to fear.

Well, looks like those titles are false. Or at least 6.14 is. According to my DVR, the title is "Twice as Far". Synopsis:

Two separate groups leave Alexandria for supplies, and while both worry over the future of the community, they will face immediate danger.

Different take. Plus wasn't it just sexual violence? Wait, you might be right. Plus, I didn't see one woman in the photos. I don't think.

IMO the only person Negan could kill that would have the same impact as the comics is Daryl... Glen would have been fine if they hadn't done 2 ridiculous 'OH GOTCHA! hes not dead!' moments.

They could also be lulling the audience into a false sense of security there. "Oh, Glenn's fine. He's already escaped death twice this season and-OH S***!!!!!!!!"

yea but that's just weak as hell.

I think there's a very real chance that Daryl is the one who gets killed, because there's one thing that places him at the scene of the crime: His motorcycle. Dwight stole the motorcycle from Daryl, and presumably it was stolen from Dwight (or paid as tribute, to the Saviors). I wouldn't be surprised if Dwight and the Saviors bump into Daryl on the road, riding that bike. And if one of them recognizes the bike as Primo's, or if Dwight recognizes the bike, then it's reasonable for them to assume Daryl was at the compound, since he would have taken it back from a Savior.

theres a lot of reasons show wise and professionally for it to be Daryl.

It being Daryl would certainly light the biggest fire for the show. Certain sects of fangirls would cry and threaten to never watch the show again, but it would be ballsy as hell. And quite a bit fitting, IMO. I mean, he was a wholly original character and, as far as I'm concerned, the show has done just about everything they can do with him. I honestly don't know what they could give him that we haven't already seen before. Glenn, however, only just got some blood on his hands. That's quite a piece of character development to fall into his lap six seasons in, and, as far as I know, one he didn't get in the comics. If Daryl shall fall rather than Glenn, especially if what just happened plays a part in them being discovered, I could see him seeing that as reason to stay in the fight and avenge his friend, rather than moving to the Hilltop with Maggie, even if she goes there for her safety and the safety of their baby.

I just feel like there's more interesting territory to explore with Glenn alive, rather than Daryl.

Definitely... They even said Negan and Daryl have a past... so hopefully that gives Daryls (hopefully) final moments some more depth. He's been pretty meh for a while, as cool as he is.

Wow really? Can I read where they said that? Not that I don't believe you I'd just like to read what exactly they said.

I honestly couldn't tell you... it was maybe talking dead or something on here (i dont talk TWD anywhere else so)... But it was definitely said that Daryl and Negan either have a past or theres a connection... I was thinking maybe not Daryl and Negan directly, but it seems like Negan would be a person who had a history with Merle? They said there was a connection/past is all i remember. now you have me curious too lol

Glenn would NOT stay at Alexandria and let Maggie leave to the Hilltop pregnant and alone. And Maggie would NOT let Glenn stay at Alexandria when there's an impending war with Negan. Neither would let the other go, especially with their baby about to be born and if there's a great chance of them dying. No married person with their first born on the way would have that mentality, no chance in hell.

Plus the catalyst for Maggie leaving was Glenn's death. Without his death, why would she get upset at Rick and leave?

And after this interview

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/03/15/walking-dead-steven-yeun-glenn-negan

Glenn is so dead.

Exactly what in that interview indicates that Glenn is gonna die? I really don't think Glenn is going to get Lucille'd. It'd be far too predictable. My bet is on Maggie, Lauren's film career is growing, and she probably wants to move onto other things.

“I know people are going to always go, ‘Negan kills Glenn in the comics,’ but rest assured that we don’t necessarily do what’s in the comics,” says Yeun. “There’s a clear divide in the way we tell a story on television, and the way that story is told in the comics, because it has to be. And everybody will have to see what happens, but we definitely tell our story in the way that television should be told.”

Glenn is so dead based off of this article :whatever:
