If they want to capture the same impact from the comics... It needs to be a fan favorite that goes out, AKA it needs to be Daryl.

Darryl seems to not like Denise, and he wouldn't

she isn't a fighter, she's got some med experience but that's about it

I still think it could be [BLACKOUT]Glenn that bites it in the season finale. They lulled everyone into a false sense of security for him with the fake-outs that it would still be a shock regardless. [/BLACKOUT]

Daryl can't die until he goes out in a blaze of glory in the second to last episode of the series sacrificing himself to take on a horde of zombies set to "My Way" by Sid Vicious.

Agreed. Glenn was the fan favorite from the comics when they killed him off.

I'd be fine with Glenn dying in the season finale if they didn't have those fakeouts. At this point, I feel like it would be anticlimactic if Glenn died at the end of the season.

From The Spoiling Dead I just read that Fox International released a promo that reveals that [BLACKOUT]Maggie and Carol are kidnapped by the Saviors.[/BLACKOUT]

I'm thinking that Lucille will be meeting either Glenn or Daryl, then ... [blackout]Could be Carol too; she is a fan favorite at this point, after all.[/blackout]

EDIT: If they kill Daryl in front of Carol or kill Carol in front of Daryl ... My heart will sink. That would wreck me more than anything involving Maggie and Glenn, to be perfectly honest.

Exactly

They're setting up Maggie to lead the Hilltop. The catalyst for that is Glenn dying. I still want to know from everyone that thinks Daryl is going to die, do they really think Maggie and Glenn will be running the Hilltop. Together as a family?

Been browsing a bit on Spoil the Dead.

Apparently, there's some speculation that it might be Abraham that gets Lucille'd (Glenn and Daryl have a bigger chance, but apparently there's a slight chance for Abraham as well). That would be SUCH a copout from the writers if that happened.

Abraham is one of the most boring characters right now, if you ask me. I've been loving season 6 so far, but his scenes bore me.

Entertainment Weekly said:
Steven Yeun had an interesting point to make when he recently told us about how Glenn has yet to kill another human. But he has certainly killed plenty of zombies. Sooooo many zombies. Like, an insane amount of zombies. But which one ranks as his favorite?

We asked Yeun that question recently at our EW Walking Dead cover shoot, and he went back to season 3 for his numero uno. “The chair walker is obviously a big one,” says Yeun. “That was really fun and it felt like an important turning point for Glenn.”

Ah, the chair walker. He’s referring, of course to the time when Glenn had to fight off a zombie in Woodbury unleashed by Merle while taped to a chair. It actually was pretty badass. Good pick, Steven Yeun!

But Yeun also says sometimes he prefers quantity over quality. “I particularly like it when we’re dealing with a bunch of them — just to go through the motions of stabbing and then pulling out the knife and shooting and all that action, and just seeing how far we’ve come.”

Hmmmm, looking at Lauren Cohen's short hair in the Talking Dead

*Warning comic spoilers and my prediction*
Doesn't she cut her hair that short in the comics when she leaves Rick and everyone to go to the Hilltop with Sofia in the comics?

She leaves Rick because she's angry at him and for Glen's death. Why would she move to the Hilltop in the tv show? There wouldn't be any reason for her to leave.

I'm scratching her entirely off my Dead Pool, Glen is alone at #1 to get the bat from Negan.

My prediction: Glen gets killed by Negan, Maggie punches Rick in the face (like in the comics) and leaves with Carol instead of Sofia. Carol because looking at that preview, it looks like she's having regrets about killing. Hilltop isn't about killing.

I think that could work.

Carol can be the Daryl of the Hilltop. They need someone with that kind of determination and willingness to do what is required. I don't know if it will be Glenn's death that does it but likely they will stick to that after all these stupid fake out deaths he's had.

They really wasted a lot of the potential drama and unexpected "Glenn's dead" reactions because they kept almost killing him.

As if it was necessary. Most people know it is coming and though they have strayed from the storyline enough times most people assumed this one is going to happen as it did in the books.

I would be surprised if they chose a target other than Glenn at this point. I still see Daryl, Carol or maybe Abraham at this point being the potential death for various reasons but going on what we know now it will be Glenn.

Join me... in the 'you are stupid' bucket.

Old Mr. Reedus is moving on.

This show needs to be more than just seeing who is going to die next. :(

Well to be fair the comic is a lot like that, too. You're just wondering who is going to die next.

I agree it has gotten old. "Who will die next?" feels very much like the Roman gladiator fights where they have to keep uping the ante, make the fights more extravagent and convoluted.

The audience growing bored of it is already becoming apparent with the almost indifference people are feeling now with Lucille. We're all more concerned with the who rather than what they'll do next. It's a given. Someone will die. Most people expect it to be Glenn or Daryl, maybe Carol or Abraham. Other than losing a favorite character no one seems to be all that interested in what will happen next.

Maybe that will change when (if) they surpass the comics or take it to an entirely new direction but right now they just keep coasting on "who is next to die?"

hopefully Michonne so Rick will dump her and let Ezekiel come into the picture.

I've grown tired of that from both the comics and the show.

Anyways,

I have my doubts they'll get rid of Daryl even if I think it would be a very bold move and Glenn is just predictable since it happened in the comics. Wouldn't be at all shocking.
Meh, won't know until it happen it happens as there's been hints toward different characters, but I'm starting not to care.

Don't disagree with that.

Morgan is an a-hole.

"Why didn't you tell Rick about what I did?"

I don't know, jackass ... Why don't YOU tell him? Jerk never wants to get his hands dirty and projects his guilt onto others. Selfish.
