Andy on losing the beard-

“Either I’m not in the show anymore or there’s a flashback where I found a razor,” Lincoln said with a laugh. “[Losing the beard] was more pleasant for my wife!”
“It’s an extraordinary and interesting thing that goes down,” he said when pressed further. “I can’t really go into it because I don’t want to spoil it.”

Regardless of what happens he really was starting to look a mountain man.

And another quote-

"It’s one of three things: either I found a razor, the rest of the season is an extended flashback, or I’m dead."

They all look fabulous! I really want Lauren's shoes! :D

So, one of my friends just offered me her extra ticket to the Walking Dead panel at Paleyfest after NYCC on Saturday night. Hell yes I'm going.

What, they couldn't wait for after premiere night?

AMC renews The Walking Dead for a sixth season.

Recognizing a good thing when it sees it, AMC has renewed fan-favourite, The Walking Dead for a sixth season, even before the fifth season has started to air.

The Walking Dead is the highest rated program in cable TV history, and, for the past two years, has been the #1 show with adults 18-49, so it’s no surprise AMC wanted to lock it down.

“We could not be more excited for October 12th as we share new episodes of The Walking Dead with fans around the globe,” said AMC President Charlie Collier in a press release.

“In advance of Sunday’s season five premiere, AMC proudly confirms a sixth season order of this extraordinary series.

“Thank you to Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, the terrific executive producers, and the entire team who brings this compelling world and these rich characters to life. There’s plenty more Dead ahead thanks to their impressive, collective effort.”

The Walking Dead, season five, premieres, Sunday, Oct. 12, at 9 PM and is followed by the live season premiere of Talking Dead at 10 PM when host Chris Hardwick welcomes this week’s guests, showrunner and writer, Scott M. Gimple; executive producer and special effects make-up supervisor, Greg Nicotero and superfan Conan O’Brien

Why do so many people hate Carl? I've never understood this. That guy at pajiba treats Chandler Riggs like he's the worst actor on earth, and that's crazy. I've seen so many awful kid actors over the years, they make Riggs look like Marlon f***ing Brando.

^I've always liked Carl. When he was an annoying little brat, he had a freakin' reason to be. Plus, he's grown up to be a lot more useful than Rick in several ways.

Carl has gone through the most character growth throughout the show. That makes him interesting, in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. Rick is more of a product of the "old world" and so he still clings to certain ideals, whereas Carl is growing up in this nightmare and thus he doesn't have some of those ideals to hold him back.

Carl is ok in MY book... with all the s**t that he's gone thru and progressed from, he's developed from a kid into a young man admirably... he's HAD to, ya know?

So this is going on in Times Square right now...

Ive seen a lot worse child actors than Riggs. I think he's done fine and I don't get all the hate either. :(

And there are a few of these mingling in the crowd too. It's hysterical, they keep sneaking up behind people and scaring the **** out of them. :funny:

I just finished watching Season 4 on blu-ray, and did not realize that they swapped the final scene with the version where Rick says the f-word. That was quite fabulous.

Yup. I re-watched Season 4 a few weeks ago and had no idea either! I thought that was really cool! There were a few extended/unrated scenes added to certain episodes. Food for thought going forward if the Season 5 Blu-ray will feature the stuff too hot for TV in a similar fashion. :yay:

At Paleyfest now. I was just about 10 feet away from Andrew Lincoln. :wow:
