Great episode.
Abe’s “pourin’ the bisquick” reference to Glenn was hilarious. I’m concerned about his survival. His lust and infatuation with Sasha seems to be clouding his mind and judgment. He even fantasizes about Sasha while making love with Rosita. And he still couldn’t stop thinking about her even while nearly being choked to death during the confrontation at the Hilltop. Not to mention he left behind the necklace Rosita made for him like it was nothing. I’m getting the impression Abe’s days are about to be numbered. Most of this season he seems to have had some sort of a death wish.
Kudos to the writers for finally giving Maggie some character growth and exploring some traits I didn’t know she had. Long overdue.
Though I rather their relationship had stayed platonic. I have to admit that it was cute seeing Rick massaging/rubbing Michonne’s leg on the drive to the Hilltop. As well as when Michonne shove that woman who sucker punched Rick for killing her boyfriend, who stabbed Gregory and tried to kill Rick.
Feral Rick is back. I wasn't expecting Rick to brutally stab that guy, who also had knife to Rick’s throat, in the throat like that. And then he looks at the terrified Hilltop residents and says to them ”What?”. I was expecting Daryl or Michonne to save him from his attacker but Rick had it under control.
I found Jesus, Gregory and the whole Hilltop community very intriguing. And am looking forward to what else they have in store for us. I was concerned for a second that Gregory was about to share the same fate as Carter and Eastman did,who both died in the episodes they were introduced in. I’m glad that wasn’t the case.
Rick and co. are getting too cocky with believing they can take out Negan and his camp without really understanding what they are up against. I don’t think it’s going to be a walk in the park, but we’ll see what happens. This is shaping up to be much stronger than 6a.
