The Amazing Spider-Man The Web Fluid: Stolen, or bought? Oscorp, or not?

I doubt he stole it - only because how would he walk out of OsCorp with a box of bio-cable in his hands?

Yea, I don't think he stole it either.

And, hold with me for a moment, I think the game includes spider-tracers? I know that this topic is about the webbing, but I love the thought of Spidey having more gadgets in general, so I wanna know what you guys would think of that?

It would be a chance to use more Oscorp tech, and I have a feeling that Oscorp will be a very central object of attention for these films. What if Peter could influence Harry to give up his role as the New Goblin (if he even takes it up in these films) so that he could turn the company around and make it less greedy and more focused on actually improving the world.

We won't get that far. The last we'll see of Harry, he'll still be brooding over his father's death.

Awww...

But you never know, maybe we will?

I mean, the MCU came pretty far.. but it was under more than one director, so I dunno.

I'm sorry guys, but I really think he took them during his time with Connors, and I am sticking with the "borrowed" angle as the most likely scenario until I see some kind of proof that he purchased the cable himself.

And how he got a box of bio-cable out of OsCorp? Easy. He's Spider-Man. Nuff' said :o

So.. uh.. are you saying that he took the cable before he even had the motivation to use his powers to become Spider-Man?

Um, sure. He stole it from OsCorp. I guess that's just as bad as being an outlaw vigilante. Cancel the movie.

Anyway, there should've been a scene explaining how he got it, but maybe Webb wanted to avoid it...Whatever the case, I just don't think he purchased the stuff.
You're the one that said borrow:dry: Because he said "Hey guys, I'll bring this back."

Peter most likely didn't steal it because he never really went back to Oscorp after his uncle died and before the bridge incident. At best on a thought of that nature, Connors was able to give a box to Peter as a gift for helping him figure out the decay rate algorithm.

Best present EVAR.

It's just a minor plot hole.

Eh, I don't recall wheter he want back to OsCorp after Ben's death or not. Something's missing.

EDIT: Just saw your other post.

"Oh Peter, thank you for solving the equation that's been haunting me for the past 15 years or so. Here's a box of Bio-Cable for you. Enjoy!"

Yup. Borrowed as in stole...Not sure what you're getting at?

Anyway, I don't think Peter stole the bio-cable.

Sadly, the movie never, ever, really directly confirms that he took any part in modifying or adding chemicals to the webbing. All we see in the film is Peter figuring out how to put the webbing cartridge in the device and shoot it out in a straight line.

I wonder if the development of the spider-tracers will be in the 2nd movie.

Since the spider that bit him still had a strand of webbing, could he have studied that strand and reverse engineered the webbing? Maybe he took a look at how it was produced while he was working with Dr. Connors...

Nope. He had a box labeled, "OsCorp - 24 units." How he got the box is the question.

Maybe he just ordered empty cartridges? Maybe Connors gave him the box thinking it might hold a clue to unlocking Richard Parker's work? I doubt there was malicious intent.

..Or maybe he bought the bio-cable?

Dear god..

I am going to borrow your debit card and borrow what's in your bank account. Hey...that's all the robbers have to say to Spidey! "I was borrowing it bro."

I'm fine with him taking the box from Oscorp, because technically he is already breaking the law by being Spider-Man. Meaning, I don't really care. He's not doing this to get some kind of profit. But you think he's eeeevil. Gotcha. Now go back to your Raimi Blu-Rays while we uncover the Untold Story. This is important stuff we're dealing with here! :o

Also, I don't think stories are fun without plot holes. If there weren't any plot holes, there wouldn't really be much to talk about.
