The White Stripes appreciation thread

I respect them trying to preserve their artistic integrity and all but this is a real downer for me. I've always wanted to see them live :csad:

heres a classic

i thought why not start posting what the white stripes were all about......good music!

holy cow...ive been looking for that video...i used to have it on my computer...im with you 100%
best vid ever.

Bummer, since I was hoping they'd play again sometime.

I haven't been this bummed about a band breakup in a long time, or maybe ever. They were in my top 3 alternative bands. And that's what I listen to most nowadays.

that is another great performance! i also dig the grammy performance of death letter
tarantinos reaction was so awesome lol

Yup, that's the first time I was introduced to Death Letter.

That performance was incredible because it was almost like they were taking the mainstream to a higher level of musical excellence. It's like they gave the masses their mainstream hit(Seven Nation Army) and then the lesser known "Death Letter" ripped into the song and kicked everything into over-drive. The audience didn't know what hit them but they knew they loved it.

For those who haven't seen the grammy performance:

You're welcome.

yeah that grammy performance was another great one. i love how enthusiastic tarantino responded to it. i was certain his next movie would feature one of their tracks.

thanks for posting that! it is absolutely epic!
ehh...day 2 and im still depressed.

this rare b-side happens to be one of my all time favorites from the band, Red Death at 6:14:

I agree 1000000+%

I remember being in high school when the video for "Fell in Love With a Girl" hit. Every album since that one I rushed out and bought on like the day it came out. I love them so much!
