I was just watching it before on dvd. Now matter how old I get, I still somehow love this movie.

I remember in the days before VHS when T.W.O.O. used to be on TV like one night a year and it was this huge thing that everyone watched.

Jesus, I'm old. :(

I remember when it was on once a year too. I was even a little sad when it came out on VHS because now it wasn't such a big deal to see it on TV anymore. :csad:

Hallmark channel is showing the Rocketeer:o

This movie was my favorite childhood movie.

Also, Return to Oz isn't really a full sequel. It is more of a sequel to the books than to the original movie...the only thing connecting the movies is the ruby red slippers. In the books, they were silver.

For a long time now people I know were hyping Dark Side of the Rainbow,...So I finally watched,.......= terrible.

Wasn't there a conspiracy theory that one of the midgets commited sucide during the movie. I heard that it was in the movie.

There was a legend that a cast member hung him/herself during the "We're Off to See the Wizard" scene right after they meet the Tin Man. In reality, what appeared to be a person hanging was one of the many exotic birds used in the scene.

How could some of you HATE the Da Wizard? You can't hate Da Wizard! It is un-American! Da Wiz is apart of our history like Mac'n'Chee, Apple Pie, & Baseball. If you don't Like Da Wizard, then you peeps need to get the hell out of this country.:cmad::ninja::o

Wasn't the Wizard of Oz made in the 1940's? I believe '49. Watching it now, it's INSANE how great it looks. No movies in the 40's looked like that. I can't get over it.

I thought that it wasn't like a real person, but that they did have it look like someone hung themselves in the background of one of the scenes in the original but in subsequent VHS and DVD re-releases, they took it out.

LOL. I was just checking my DVR to see if it was on again. It is on like 10 more times tomorrow on TBS.

So to all you un-americanites. You have been given a seond chance. I suggest you go out, get you some Mac'n'Chee, & some Apple Pie. Sits your little b**ch ass down on the couch, & watch the movie. & You Will Like IT!:cmad:

Daaaammn, my grandpa was in his late 20s when that movie came out!

That movie along with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (with Gene Wilder) will be shown around the Holidays forever I think. Some timeless classics.
