Vic Von Doom said:Yeah, thanks. But for real, though? Anyone?
dasNdanger said:he has to go back to them, and they will brainwash him again, and if that happens, he can't live with himself, so Cyke must kill him with the Blade.
dasNdanger said:Oh, and they are also comic book characters, which means that any reader who dares to pick up an issue must be ready to suspend his disbelief. If people can't, don't bother reading fantasy.

Way made it clear that this story is about how WOLVERINE came into existance, not James Howlett. OH!!! I just got it...HOWLett...howl...like a wolf. I am SO stinkin' SLOW!!!
Anywho...about the Weapon X book. I have both, the novel, and the graphic novel - JUST got the graphic novel in today, in fact - man...that was a hard one to find! I guess it was out of print. Looking forward to reading both, but what you say makes sense...the marrow is still there. And you also made a point, whether you realize it or not - comics are only so long - and they don't have pages and pages to explain things. So, our imaginations have to take over. Also, if the Phoenix force can enhance his healing factor, perhaps exposure to other severe forms of power can as well.
Hey - at least I can IMAGINE it to be so, and move on, without letting it ruin the character for me...
