The Wolverine The Wolverine Unleashed Extended Edition Blu-Ray: December 3

I do not think so, but, they most sets include a non 3D BD copy.

Does ONLY the 3D have all the good stuff, even if you get all four disks in the extended version? *confused*

The Ultimate Combo comes with 3D and 2D Blu Ray versions of both The Extended Cut and Theatrical. Plus a DVD and Digital copy. The 2D and 3D features should both be identical.

You can't play the 3D disc unless your Player and TV is 3D compatible.

So..I'm old. I have to buy a 3D+2D pack to see the extended version in 2D and throw the 3D version out of the window? I don't have a 3D player/TV either. Nonsense. ********. This has to be corrected. A giant slap in the face for many people. What about those with DVD players? hnngghhh. HNNNGGHHH.

Hey, FOX. Stop being ***** and act like normal people. If this information is wrong and everyone can get the extended version without buying 3D combos, then I'm sorry for being a reactionary idiot. Meanwhile, stop being *****. Rant over.

I have a 3D combo pack of Tangled. I don't have a 3D blu-ray player/TV, but I had a coupon for it that worked out cheapie than getting the 2D version, so it worked out anyway.

As long as they don't do what Star Trek Into Darkness did and break out the special features depending on what store you bought it at (how ridiculous was that??), I'll be ok with having to get a 3D version.

I'll add the 3D disc to my photo album from the fan screening, since I still have the glasses from that show. :oldrazz:

Gotta love studios milking their home releases. I used to be annoyed about DVDs being robbed, but now even the regular Blu Ray releases are almost stripped bare lol. Just glad there is no double dip situation.

A little concerned the UK are going to be screwed even further though. I want the HMV steelbook but I've heard nothing about it including the extended cut.

really sucks that you have to buy the 3D version to get the director's cut, but screw it. this and Dredd will be the only 3D movies i'll own for the time being.

Easy...The Wolverine 3D, 4 Disc Combo pack:

3D Blu-ray
2D Blu-ray
2D Blu-ray Extended Cut
DVD.

There's your four discs. And It's only $26.99. Compared to Iron Man 3's 3D combo pack - $32

But his is definitely on the Christmas list :D

Sorry if I missed it but how much longer is the extended cut than the theatrical version?

I believe it's roughly 11 to 12 minutes longer...and your avatar makes me smile every time. Brian Wilson is so...weird and funny :D

Thanks for answering man. That's a good amount and yeah, Brian Wilson is quite the character. :hehe:

I can't wait until Christmas... :oldrazz:

I currently have access to a 3D tv and BD player, so getting the extra version doesnt bother me as I will use it, though I will mostly watch the extended 2D version.

This is if Australia is getting the extended edition of course, does anyone if we are?

Saw this on AICN. So much *****ing and complaining in the comments.

You'd think someone was forcing them to buy it.

I get the ending wasn't the best bust so much ******** fanboys over there. I think they just want 90 minutes of Wolverine in a long hallway slicing through thousands of nameless bodies.

I am very interested to see the alternate ending!

Personally, I want a Viper alternate ending similar to Deadpool's alternate ending. They chopped her head off but she's still alive. But I don't think that will happen.

I wonder if the UK is getting the same thing, not getting a blu-ray player till next year so can at least buy it and wait for the extended version to be viewed, but everywhere here doesnt mention anything than a normal theatrical cut.

Guess we might have a little longer wait here for the ED, but at least the normal one will keep me happy over Xmas.

They are like people who comment on SHH homepage and who post on DOFP Internet movie database thread.

Does a 3D Blu-ray play in a regular Blu-ray player?

No, you need a 3D Blu-ray player. And a 3D TV.

I believe, however, that the PS3 is 3D capable. Pretty sure they had a software update sometime ago that made it work. So, if that's what you're working with you should be solid if you already have the TV.

So be it. I'm sour about the fact that you HAVE to buy the 3D version in order to get the extended cut, but there's no way I'm missing out on that.

It seems that way here in Australia too, I had a look yesterday and didnt see any extended edition, when I moved over here from the UK I thought the UK was the only one that got shafted with double dips for many extended editions, seems I was wrong, though maybe things will change here in Aus by the time the movie is released.

It seems there's plenty of screwing to go around. Aren't Blu Rays often region free now? I know a lot of people in the UK picked up the US version of the Avengers because the UK version didn't even include the commentary track.

Sadly, the director’s commentary with Mangold will only be available on the 3D Blu-ray.

Um, so is that only on the 3D disc or also on the 2D disc in the 3D blu-ray package?
