Personally, I'm done with Sabretooth. And this is only the 3rd Wolverine solo movie, I don't feel like they need to reuse a villain who already appeared in the previous films.

So if you dug The Wolverine, is it worth the extra $20 or whatever to get the extended cut? I already have the theatrical version.

Is it just some extended scenes or is it like an entirely different movie like the Daredevil director's cut?

Blood, curse words and an extended fight against the ninjas.

That's pretty much it.

Not an entirely different movie but a substantial amount of new bits make it worthwhile, the ninja fight is the selling point which is pretty good, a few added flashback scenes help flesh out the Logan/Old man Yashida relationship and one in at the hotel is an extra fight scene. The added blood in all fights is also a really welcome addition that makes them all a bit more brutal and "wolverine" like, gives things a slightly harder edge.

Its certainly one of the better extended versions but I couldnt honestly say its a whole different movie but it is an improvement on what came before in every way.

Also it has another new scene with Jean in the rain, with a new quote too.

Yep and a few extra bits of the Wolverine vs Shingen fight which improve an already awesome scene.

Don't forget Viper's additional scene, where she gave Harada that green substance to take down the Wolverine.
